  • I don't go back until the 3rd.... just a little over a week left!!!
I'm feeling a little more calm after taking a test the other day. I figure as long as I'm not cramping too badly or bleeding I'm ok until the ultrasound.
  • Ladies!

I love reading the posts from y'all daily. You both give me so much hope! I haven't been feeling much and I guess it's hard for me because my last BFP, I felt like EVERY symptom. I have been feeling as I am coming down with a cold, lower back pain, night sweats, mild cramping here and there, exhaustion, and emotional wreck! My boos are tender, but not anything to really report on. I know how they felt last time and that was terrible! Been peeing a lot, but that can be from all the water I am drinking.

Today is 6dpiui. I get to test on April Fools Day. Feeling a little down. I guess I still feel some guilt from the CP and ask myself why a lot. I am afraid that was my chance and I blew it. Idk. Hard to describe the feelings going through me.

Anyways, so happy for the both of you though! Such a great way to start off the year!! Love to read updates!

    -Shauna
  • Shauna - Don't get down on yourself!!! You did nothing wrong. Sometimes those things just happen.

Don't worry about not having any symptoms. I STILL don't and I'm going to be 5 weeks tomorrow!! (Other than my boob hurting). Hang in there... you're so close!!

It generally takes a few times to get your BFP. It's too early to get discouraged. Trust me, I KNOW how hard it is. It took 9 tries total for us.

Vent it out here. This board really does help keep you sane!!
  • @Shauna it's perfectly normal to feel a little down. My wife and I still think our little angel and it's really not something you just forget. I will say that we would like to think of ourselves as grateful to be able to even get pregnant and honestly I know it's gonna happen again for you guys. Kim is right though and we're all here for support and to vent. I can't imagine 9 times and we read the BFP for her, my wife and I were so excited because of everything they went through. Hang in there, you're almost there.

Hope you ladies have a wonderful weekend!
  • How's everyone doing? Jami, how's that little nugget? Shauna, when do you test??
  • Good morning!

Today is 11dpiui and I am starting to feel consistent mild cramping. No spotting or bleeding. Boobs are very sore. I feel tired all day. 3 more days until test day! Last time I got a BFN 14dpiui, but got a very faint BFP 15dpiui. And then was confirmed from the blood work. Trying to remain positive.

I hope you ladies are having a wonderful week so far!
  • Don't give up. Mild cramping can be good. Just a few more days!!

I'm so anxious for Monday to get here!!! I can't wait to see that little flicker on the screen. I know I'm going to be emotional.
  • @Kim doing great. My wife had her 11 week appt Tuesday and everything is looking good minus the hematoma is still there. She also got a blood test for genetic testing and gender. We should find out in 7-10 days. Her last apt with the fertility dr is next week and then we get transferred over to our OBGYN. How are you feeling? I'm sure you're so excited. It's the best feeling going for the first ultrasound and it gets even better as the baby grows.

@Shauna, you hang in there. I know things are going to work out for you. I told my wife awhile ago the hardest thing is even being able to get pregnant so if you can bypass that hurdle anything else is possible. I know it's hard and with our loss we still think about our baby girl, but you will get pregnant again. The odds go up even more because you're body is more fertile. Just a few more days...We're thinking about you.
  • @Jami How exciting!! I meant to ask if you guys were going to find out what you were having. I'm hoping the rest of the testing goes well too. I'm very excited... My dr said I'll stay with the fertility clinic for 8-9 weeks and then transfer to my OB/GYN as long as everything looks well. Still no morning sickness here, which is nice!! just a bit tired and sore boobs still. It's been very easy so far!! Fingers crossed it stays that way!
  • @Kim I'm gonna guess and say if you continue with no morning sickness I'm betting it's a boy! I'm so excited for you guys.

So my wife surprised me today by setting up a little display in our bedroom revealing it's a boy with where the wild things are theme. So we're having a boy!!!!! She totally tricked me and had the test last week lol.
  • My friend said she had a dream (months before we found out...and before she knew we were trying) that I was super pregnant and it was a boy. I looked at the Chinese calendar and it also said boy!

I'm excited for you guys! Where The Wild Things Are is an adorable theme!!
  • Hello ladies! Just looking for support. Trying for baby #3 and just had our second IUI Thurs (3-30) We used a new donor 13957 and are anxiously waiting until Sunday to test. Found out at 10 dpiui with first 2 babies so hoping for the same. I don't think my wife can wait until cd 14.

Long shot-- but has anyone had symptoms this early? I'm not getting anything.
  • @ms4511 Good Luck!! Fingers Crossed for you!! We just had our first ultrasound and used donor 13957!! I didn't have any symptoms early and don't really have many now!

We got to hear the heartbeat today. So exciting. Going back in 2 weeks for check up.
  • Firsttime: YAYYY! How exciting!! That was always the moment it really sunk in for me... hearing the heartbeat is overwhelmingly awesome :-)
We are really rooting for 13957's swimmer--- doc and staff said it was of very good quality. We fell in love with his profile.

What cd did you end up getting your positive?
  • Good morning ladies.

I tested on April Fools and got a BFN. AF showed herself the following day, 02APR17. So we are on CD2 now, I will start Clomid tomorrow. Are there any differences on starting Clomid on CD3 or CD5? I am feeling a bit frustrated and know that it takes multiple tries, but I feel defeated. Also, when you did the trigger, how many hours later did you have the IUI? I feel like my timing is all off. I tried to do exactly what I did the first time. Any and all advice would be much appreciated!

@ans17 - How cute of your wife!! Congrats on finding out that y'all are having a boy!! Any names in mind?

@Firsttimetxmoms - So exciting that you heard the heartbeat today!!!

@ms4511 - Welcome! This board is AWESOME! The ladies are amazing and are definitely a HUGE support! Good luck to you and your wife! Positive vibes and baby dust sent you!
  • @ms4511 I didn't test until 14dpiui... I don't know how I lasted that long, but I stuck it out and waited!!

@Shauna So sorry to hear about the BFN. That's never fun... I always started Clomid on cd5, but the Femara we started on cd3. If you feel like the timing is off, but listen to you gut. And communicate that to your doctor. This past time I started femara on cd3-7. I did follistim injections on cd8-9 and then triggered on cd10 at 10:00pm and did the IUI on cd12 at 10:00am (36 hrs hours later). We had been doing the IUI on cd13 or 14, which I think was too late, but we also weren't using all the injections. It takes the right concoction...and Patience!!! :)

Hang in there... Good news is your period started right away, so there's no delay and you're back in the game.
  • @Kim I'm so happy for you and I was thinking about you yesterday. That is so exciting to hear that heartbeat for the first time. How are you feeling? Any cravings yet or aversions?

@Shauna I'm sorry. We didn't do any clomid or trigger shots so for us it was just straight IUI. I will say that we went in everyday for ultrasound and blood around ovulation time. I know its frustrating but I'm sure it will happen for you again.

@ms4511 welcome! I hope you get a BFP.

For us we have a few names narrowed down but nothing is solid yet. We had our 12 week ultrasound today and are being transferred now to the other Dr. My wife still has the hematoma but its at the same size.
  • @Jami I feel great!! A liiiiittle nausea in the morning but nothing bad at all. No aversion. No coming. No cravings! It's been very easy. So glad you guys are getting released to the OB!! I bet it's a relief after last time! I can't wait to get there. 7 weeks today!
  • Hi all,

My wife and I had our first IUI on Saturday. I am on Crinone and have been feeling super tired. I am assuming it is a side effect of the medicine and not of possibly being pregnant. We are in the TWW. Any advice for a first timer?
  • Have patience. That's my biggest advice!!! And try your very hardest to not symptom spot. Of all the times we tried, when I actually got the BFP was the time I had the least amount of symptoms. Also know that each person is different. So don't be freaked out if all the boards you read say they have a bazillion symptoms and you have none. It doesn't mean anything. Every one at work is saying that I'm going to be getting sick and have different cravings and aversions but... nothing. So it's weird for me since I don't "feel" pregnant... I still have doubts haha.

    Hang in there!

    Kim
  • Everything Kim said is so true. We definitely didn't really have symptoms when we did have the BFP. Good luck!

@Kim I had forgotten to ask if you're sure it just one baby or more than one lol? Hope you're feeling good.
  • @Jami Haha! Definitely just one! The Dr looked around for a while to make sure! I had gotten used to the idea of twins but one is probably best!! CANNOT wait for the 17th to see him again (I'm already calling it a boy)
  • @Kim I'm thinking boy also, but at this point I know either way you will be thrilled. It's been a long journey and we felt the same way. How are you feeling?
  • Same thing. No changes! So thankful for this easy time I've had! How's your wife feeling? Is she showing at all?
  • That's great! My wife is feeling great. She is definitely showing and has been for a couple weeks. I will say the progesterone makes you more bloated and makes you show faster. She is being weaned off it now.
  • I had some spotting late last night. And that's freaking me out. I don't have any back pain or cramping at all.. it was light pink, not bright red. Of course I immediately Googled it and saw several people say it's normal in the first trimester, but I had only heard of implantation bleeding. I wore a pad to bed and just got up to go the the bathroom and everything was fine. No more blood on the pad or when wiping (I would say TMI but I think we're all passed that now. Haha). I'm still going to call the Dr monday
  • Oh, and for the first time, while all of that was happening, I was SUPER nauseous for the first time.
  • I was fine all day yesterday... No spotting. Woke up this morning to more. This time it was brown...like the end of a period. Which is normal according to what I've been reading. I'm going to see if I can get an appt today to ease my mind.
  • @Kim it's totally normal. It can even happen a couple times. As long as you don't have other symptoms with it and its not very heavy you will be ok.
  • Yeah that's what the Dr said. I didn't go in they just told me over the phone. They said to call back if it gets worse or turns bright red or if I have any pain.
