that is so good! for what ever reason, we have yet to have a good sperm count with 2 different donors. sending you all the baby mojo! we have 7 days left in our TWW. our sperm count was 1.8 million. still hopeful, praying, it only takes one! can't wait to hear how your goes. Have a wonderful Holiday. Lisa and Becky
Oh wow... I think the lowest we've had (we've now used 2 donors...) is abound 9mil What donor are you using? Have you spoken to CCB about it? That' seems way to low to me! But you're right... it only takes ONE
I hope everything turns out well. We're just taking one day at a time. We have to wait for my wife to get her period again but we also have to pick a donor. It is really hard this time. It's so funny but we did look at 14365 awhile back and he's sold out lol. Merry Christmas!
@Lex07 I think you your count should def be higher. I hope everything goes well for you and your wife. Merry Christmas!
I know, not sure why we have had such bad luck, but our only 2 donors we have used have both been bad. CCB has been great about refunding. They have great customer service. however it is rough getting that news when you are inseminating and we lose all the doctors fees. anyway, trying to remain positive. Thanks ladies. keep us posted @firsttimetxmoms!
Taking HPT tomorrow... so nervous. I honestly don't think I am pregnant. I have zero symptoms. I know it is still possible... but just my gut feeling. I'll post tomorrow.
I was holding on to a little hope that MAYBE my beta would show a positive.... BUT literally an hour before my appointment, AF showed up. So..... I'm out this month. We did a baseline scan and I will start back on Femara tomorrow (day 3). I guess the good news is I don't have to wait to start my period and get this going again. I have my follicle scan on the 6th. Here's hoping the new year will bring luck to us all!
How are you doing @Lex07? Should be almost time to test for you!
good morning, my wife started this morning. : ( . another no BFP. We will keep trying. My wife is very sad, she is getting pretty down and losing hope. I am trying to keep the faith. it is so difficult to navigate all this. Thanks Ans17 and Firsttimetxmoms for checking. Here is to 2017!
How many IUIs have you guys done? We've done 5 this year and one last year (in July). We're going to try a few more and then if we still haven't gotten pregnant, we'll sit down with the RE and come up with a new plan.
I guess the most frustrating thing is that all of the tests we've done NOTHING is wrong... it's just not happening with us for some reason.
Surprisingly enough, I was sad, but not too sad this time... I think I just expected it. There were NO tears... which is definitely a first.
firsttimetxmoms, this was our 4th. and i am not kidding every time the sperm was below standards. Its so frustrating because her follicles look so good. I am still feeling good about it, it takes time, and getting the exact time of the egg dropping is difficult. my wife said she has a few more tries and then we are going to regroup also. Our stories are similar. Stay strong! We will try too also.
Kim, I'm so sorry this is certainly an emotional rollercoaster. I will say that it is good you have tested ok for everything. Have they mentioned IVF after you have done 6 IUI's? That was something that worked for friends of ours.
Lex02 CCB should be providing sperm with at least 10 million after wash. It really does make a difference. Has your donor had pregnancies?
It has been really awesome talking to you both. Our stories are different but we're all just trying to have babies. My wife just had her blood done and she tested at 17 HCG so were just waiting for it to hit 0 so AF comes and we can get started again. I will say this was the worst holiday we had. It was really sad losing our baby girl and being around family that are pregnant and one that just had a baby. We're just trying to take one day at a time and hope our next IUI doesn't just take but she can carry the pregnancy. Hope 2017 is a new beginning for us all.
Jami, We did the first 4 IUI's with my OB/Gyn. Then switched over to Houston Fertility Specialist. We sat and spoke with the RE and came up with a plan to do 2 or 3 IUI's, obviously with the intent of it taking. If it does not take, we will sit down again and talk about other options. I'm sure IVF will be in that discussion. I'm just hoping that maybe this next time is the one!
We will be moving to a new townhouse right in the middle of the TWW. We're hiring movers so I can take it easy... I don't want ANYTHING messing up our chances for implantation.
I can't imagine going through what you guys have. It's hard enough when my friends are getting pregnant around me... I of course am happy for them, but it's so hard to smile sometimes because I want that SO badly. My friend actually just gave birth yesterday and it made me kind of sad.
I hope everyone had a nice New Year's. We're still waiting for AF to show up lol. Never realized it could be this long so we can get started again. I noticed the rates went up. I was hoping with that we would at least get more donors to chose from. All of our favorites are sold out. Any updates with anyone?
No we've been doing everything natural so far. I will say we're really happy with our Fertility Center. My wife is in there all the time getting everything check from Day 2 of her cycle. The delay for us is since she got pregnant before it can take a couple months to get a period again.
How was the follicle scan? Are you thinking at this point you would want multiples?
Had my first IUI on 30DEC16 @ 10:45AM. Doc said our sample had 15million mobile sperm. She said that's very good? I only had one follie on my right side. This TWW is terrible. I just want to know so bad if it worked or not! I have been having symptoms, not sure if it's because of the trigger shot that I took on 29DEC16 @ 2:00AM.
Symptoms that I am experiencing was/are: -Cramping -Lower back pain -Nausea -Flu/cold like symptoms : sneezing, fever, sore throat -Dizziness -EXTREMELY tired : feel like it just happens so fast -Bloating/gas -Frequent Urination -Breast tenderness
Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? One more week then this TWW will be over! Baby dust!!!
I forgot to add... I have been overly emotional as well! I will cry and not even know why I am crying. I feel as I become overjoyed for everyone as well as become very sad for everyone! I cannot sit and watch TV or hold a conversation without eyes watering or full out crying, whether it's happy or sad.
@WestFamBam My wife had some of those for one IUI and only the sore boobs the second time. It's always difficult because of the progesterone also causes some of those symptoms. If you're also on meds I can imagine there maybe symptoms also? I hope you get good news and keep us up to date.
@Kim what happened with the follicle scan?
We finally got AF this weekend so we can begin a new cycle. The Dr always starts seeing us at Day 2 so it should be interesting. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
So.... not so great news... Dr said that it seems my body did not respond AT ALL to the meds.... he said there were LOTS of small follicles on the right.. and maaaayyyybee one on the left that he thinks might be ok if it continues to grow. I'm thinking that the meds may have just delayed my cycle... I am still taking my OPK and normally would have had a surge by now, but haven't. I'm going back on Wednesday morning for another scan to see if there is any progress and where to go from there.
@WestFamBam, those sound like good symptoms, but only being a week in, could still be the trigger. Fingers crossed for you.
@ans17 Glad you guys are finally able to get started again. Hope everything goes smoothly and that this is OUR month!
Update, today is 10dpiui and Friday cannot come any sooner. Extreme tiredness and sore boobs are the main symptoms I am having now. I had the trigger shot on Thursday, 29DEC @ 2AM, and then the IUI on Friday, 30DEC @ 10:45AM. No additional medication.
@ans17 - Great news!! Good luck with the process this month! Please keep us posted! Tons of baby dust!!!
@Kim - Wishing you the best news on Wednesday!
Ladies, hoping we all get that BFP!! Baby dust for us all!! :)
So begins the TWW again. My wife is on fertility meds this round. Went to the clinic yesterday and she had 3 good size follicles and 3 others that were not as mature. She received a trigger shot yesterday and today was the IUI. Fingers crossed that this is the one!! Praying for all of you and hoping everyone has their BFP very soon.

@Kim, What size is the main follicle and what day cycle are you on? I will say that sometimes the cycles can go longer with or without meds. I remember we had our IUI on day 16 when we ended up pregnant. I hope everything goes well tomorrow. Let us know how it went.
@WestFamBam when will you guys test? I hope this is our month.
@ShalDr1234 I hope it works this time for you guys.
As for us we have to go back Thursday day 5 for some saline ultrasound to make sure my wife is clear so we can go for our first IUI after the miscarriage. It really is a draining process. We decided we aren't telling anyone this time after what happens. So you ladies are in the inner circle. Best of luck to everyone.
@ans17 He didn't even say the size of the largest one, but from what I could gather, it was no where near where it needed to be. I'm still taking my OPK and haven't gotten a surge yet... so I'm really hoping that things are just delayed. Last month I had my surge on day 14 and the IUI on day 15. Tomorrow will be day 16 for us, so there's an obvious difference. I'm hoping that they are the size they need to be and we can trigger tomorrow night and return Friday morning for IUI. We've never used a trigger shot, but have discussed it with the dr and he is more than happy to let us use it, but he also said he doesn't want to administer the shot if there aren't mature follicles. He doesn't want us to waste our vials, which I appreciate.
I am anxious to hear what he has to say in the morning. I'll have an answer by 9:30ish.
Good morning from Hawaii! Tomorrow will be the end of my TWW! This has been the longest two weeks of my life! The nurse said that I may still get a negative tomorrow, depending on how much of the pregnancy hormone is be produced? Has anyone experienced this? Where it was a BFN after the TWW and then became BFP... I'm nervous of taking a test and getting a BFN.
@WestFamBam did you have a trigger shot because that can also change your results. We never had the trigger and I will say we tested positive three days before my wife the period. I would buy one of those tests where you can test early. Good luck!
As for us we went to the Dr today and saline ultrasound. I can't remember the fancy name but good news there is no scar tissue and everything is out after our miscarriage so we can def try again this cycle. We're nervous but one day at a time.

Things have been better with Femara. I go in for my follicle scan tomorrow morning. I'll let you guys know how things are looking.
