  • @ Firsttimetxmoms, Yessssss hoping you get your BFP tomorrow.
  • BFN. Again...
AF still hasn't shown up, but my BBT was low today so she'll probably show up this afternoon.

Time to switch donors and head to the Fertility Specialists
  • @Firsttimetxmoms I'm so sorry. Did you take a blood test or an at home pregnancy test? We were told by our Dr if we try a donor and after two or three times it didn't work to switch. I think going with high numbers would help but also check with a specialist.
  • It was a home test. I still haven't started and I'm never late. My cycles are always very regular.
If I haven't started by Sunday I'll test again. And if not by Monday, I'll call the Dr for a blood test.
If not after all that....we have anot appt with Houston Fertility Specialists on 11/5
  • @Firsttimetxmoms Did AF ever show up? The fertility specialists are figure it out. It could be as simple as just switching donors. When my wife and I had our initial appointment she was tested for everything. Our DR said to try the donor twice and if not to switch so hang in there.

    @ShalDr1234 any news?
  • Yes. She came full force mid morning on Saturday. We're looking through new donors now and we'll see how the appt goes on Saturday.

I had a pretty big break down on Saturday... but after all of the tears, I'm back in the game and ready to see with the specialist says.
  • Good luck with the Dr's appt. We will be thinking about you and your wife...
  • Well round 3 was negative. We have decided to take a break through the holidays to enjoy our family and friends without the added stress. Our doctor said after 3 rounds we would attempt fertility meds so we will schedule an apt with the doctor to get everything started. Wishing everyone the best of luck and excited to be on this journey with all of you.
  • hello, i can't tell you how nice this board is. We got AF last night and it was heartbreaking even though we knew with only 700,000 sperm count we didn't have much of a chance.
So insemination day was full of tears and last night!
this process is so much harder than i had expected. That was
our 3rd IUI, SHalDR taking the Holidays off sounds like a lovely idea. Good luck to you all. now to get our refund. i sincerely hope they don't give us a tough time with 700,000.
What a wasted of time and money for insemination.
  • Thanks, ans17! I'll keep you guys posted!

Keep your head up ShalDr1234. I know how rough it is, but sometimes a break is exactly what you need
  • @Lex07
You are in our prayers for comfort and your future blessing. This was our 3rd negative and my heart was heavy all day. My wife is the one attempting to get pregnant and I often feel as if there is nothing I can do to help or to ease her heartache. The process is definitely more stressful than anyone could imagine when first getting started. There are so many unknowns and its an emotional roller coaster.

    @Firsttimetxmoms
Thank you for the support. I know our blessings will come to each of us in God's timing. Its still an emotional process and I remind myself it is ok to be disappointed. We've recently had 3 friends with unexpected pregnancies. They are happy and we are happy for them but its always difficult when you are struggling and fighting for something you want and everyone else keeps falling into the blessing.

Grateful to have the support of all the women on this message board.
  • It is extremely difficult! Best thing to do is to take it day by day. And, yes, it is ok to be disappointed. As long as you don't let it control you. It will happen one day.... One way or another :)
  • @Firsttimetxmoms, @ShalDr1234, and @Lex07 my wife and I will we thinking of all of you. We will be praying for your BFPs...
  • Met with new Dr yesterday. I really like him. We're going to switch our donor and use Femara instead of clomid. He also wants us to do HSG test next month, which I'm pretty nervous about
  • @Firsttimetxmoms we did the HSG test before we did our IUI's. My wife had some cramping but it was all good. Our Dr made us have testing before we started and if it shows anything you will be able to get pregnant very quickly once its resolved. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
  • Will do! For now I just get to relax until around Thanksgiving. I should start soon after and then we'll begin testing and our next IUI. Excited and nervous
  • I hope you and your wife have a wonderful holiday.
  • Thanks so much!! You too! I'll let you know how things go soon
  • Hello everyone! I am 11dpiui. some symptoms I have are bloating, mood swings and tender breasts. This is our first try. 4 more days til the home pregnancy test.
    So happy for you ans17!!!
  • Hang in there!!!! Just a few more days.

    Kim
  • @Team2moms thank you. We're really excited and looking forward to our ultrasound this week. I know the TWW is the hardest and I feel like the first time around was harder for us but keep busy you're almost there. Let us know what happens...

@Firsttimetxmoms when is your appointment for testing?
  • I haven't scheduled it yet. I should start my next cycle next week. As soon as I do, I can get everything scheduled. They want to do the HSG test between day 5-10....They said after I finish bleeding but before I ovulate. And then the follicle scan will be on day 12, as usual.
  • Hey ladies, I realize I've been MIA for a couple weeks now. Since we've decided to take a break from trying until after the Holidays, it's been nice to just have a little down time and not think about the process. Please know that I'm thinking about and praying for all of you! Hoping everyone gets their BFP very soon! Take care and I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving. I'm truly grateful to have the support that this message board offers by being able to connect with all of you.
  • Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!! I'm excited to get back in this....we had this month off as well but I'm ready for my BFP
  • We found out tonight at 9 1/2 weeks that we lost the baby. We're both really sad. It was hard because we had heard the heart beat at 7 weeks and we thought everything would be ok. Hoping everyone had a nice holiday.
  • I am so sorry to hear!!! That is devastating!!! You both will be in my thoughts.

I started my cycle yesterday, finally, 4 days late.

I will start Femara tomorrow through Monday. Our HSG test is also scheduled Monday and we'll see if anything is wrong, or hopefully get a clue as to why this hasn't happened yet.
  • @Firsttimetxmoms how did everything go with your HSG test? We have been trying to get back into starting over again. We found out our baby girl had a genetic disorder which did give us some closure but it is really hard having to go through this again. Any updates?
  • Glad to hear you guys are getting back into the swing of things... I can't even imagine how hard that is.

HSG went fine. Not nearly as bad as I expected... There was some cramping but it didn't last long. Dr. said everything looks normal. There wasn't anything that concerned him.

Had my surge on day 14 and went in for IUI on day 15 (Dec. 13). We have a follow up on day 14dpiui (Dec 27) and should find out if we have a BFP or not...

Fingers crossed......So far I've done well with the TWW... Only going slightly crazy! haha but not obsessing over anything. Basically I'm just trying to act like nothing happened and we just have a routine follow up on the 27th. Makes it a little easier to get through the day
  • I hope it works for you guys this time. That is good that everything is normal. Which donor are you using again and have you checked the sperm count?

We have to start over again. Our donor is sold out and now its just waiting game with my wife getting her period again.

I hope you guys have a wonderful holiday and get the best gift ever.
  • We are using 14365. It's our first time with this donor... our other sold out. We only ordered 2, but now he is sold out too... SO hopefully this one takes and we'll have an extra for down the road.

I've done surprisingly well with this TWW.. Just 6 days left! (5 if you don't count today as it is almost halfway over).

I COULD test on Christmas morning, but I don't want to be upset if it is negative.

Let me know how things go with you guys! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
