AF is finally among us! I can't contain my excitement. We go in on Monday for ultrasound and bloodwork to begin the clomid. A bit nervous with this being our first medicated cycle but excited beyond belief. We have the last two vials of our new donor. Hoping snagging the last two will be the lucky two vials. One for now and one for later for kid 2. Hey I'm in a really hopeful mood. Soon we will be in the TWW game again. Glad to be back on the baby making train. Hoping June is our month.
Prbs and Valerie keep us updated. The wait is the worst. Hoping for lots of positives in the upcoming weeks.
Well, we had a BFN but we knew it would have been amazing odds to get it right on the first try. We are disappointed, naturally, but plan to try again soon! :) good luck to all who are in their TWW! :)
So sorry about the BFNs Scarlett and Livvy, so disappointing. Livvy, are you past the full 2 weeks or was this an early test? I'm just hoping there might still be a little chance for you!
Cari - yay! It feels so good knowing you are ready to get going again!
Valerie, there are no real symptoms to be honest. Many people feel nothing, some people might feel early pregnancy symptoms (which are unfortunately similar to AF symptoms!!)
We had 2 back to back insems on Tuesday and Wednesday, with 3 follicles which were all 22-24 in size. I've had some cramping, sore nipples (TMI, sorry) and total exhaustion. It's too early to be related to anything pregnancy so I'm thinking I must just have a bug or something!!
Livvy, if you go with IVF, what will be your plan? I hope you don't need to wait too long to get started. Sorry it has come to this, It may well be our plan in the not too distant future too as this was IUI 7, not sure how many to stop at.
Rebecca, if you are around, I hope you and your family are well. Are you going to try another IUI or is it IVF for you? A bunch of us may end up on the IVF journey together, at least this would be a support for this unknown journey.
My partner and I started follistim injections yesterday and she is scheduled for an ultrasound on Thursday, I think to see when she should take the trigger shot. She is 41 so we are aware of the chances of pregnancy but we are so excited to have started this process! I have enjoyed reading everyone's journey. I will update when we go in for our IUI. Good luck everyone!
We had our day 3 ultrasound and bloodwork today. Everything looks good and we start clomid for the first time tonight. We go back next Monday to check on follicles to see when we inseminate. Hoping this time is it!! Feeling especially positive and hopeful.
Hi all! We are currently on a break, so that I can enjoy my last few months of being a stay at home mom! I am loving every second of this summer with my sweet daughter! Plus, we are getting all of our ducks in a row to go to a new RE to begin our IVF journey. We are hoping to have our initial consultation plus any testing or trials that they want to do this summer, so that we can get started by September. I am also working on myself...losing the extra 15 pounds, getting into a good headspace, and prepping to go back to work after 2.5 years. Yikes!
Julie - I am praying that this is your month! It just HAS to be!
Livvy - I am so sorry about your BFN. We will have to compare notes on the IVF process. How soon are you planning to begin?
To everyone else - Baby dust and positive thoughts!
I have a question for all of you. Have any of you gotten a BFP from inseminating after ovulation? Everything I read says you should inseminate right before ovulation. I ovulated around 9:30am Tueaday (I could feel it thanks to Femara) and we inseminated at 4:00pm (at home) and at 5:00pm (IUI).
V81, that is awesome!! How many IUIs did it take? So exciting-congratulations:)
Rebecca, we are also gonna take the summer off so we can do a little West Coast traveling and relax before we start IVF in September. Nice to know I"ll have some company in the journey!
We did our IUI today so we begin our TWW! I was initially a little concerned because the biggest follicle measured between 16 and 17mm and there was only one mature one. This cycle was with Follistim and Ovidrel so I was hoping for more mature follicles. On top of that, the RE had us trigger at CD7 which I felt was too early, but they know better than me! So hopefully the one little egg was enough! We used donor 14261 and she said the count was at 10 million. Baby dust to all!
I had a frozen IVF cycle. I had 12 frozen embryos from donor 14098. /it was reported the quality was excellent. I had 2 5 day blasts implanted on 6/6/16. Today I am 13dp5dt. My beta is in the morning. I did a HPT this morning and got a BFP. Baby dust to all!
Sorry for above accidental submission without enough information.
Wow! Congrats V81 and KeanaNic! We love having BFP news around here! That's awesome! I wish you both a happy and healthy 9 months!
Julie - I know you usually start testing early. Have you seen anything? I really, really, really hope so! Just wanted to let you know I have my fingers crossed for you!
We had our follicle scan today. Lots of 10-12 mm follies and one 15 mm one. We'll know the results this afternoon. I'm guessing coming back for another scan when they are more mature. First time on clomid. We have never had eggs so small on day 10.
Thanks Rebecca, I tested today and it was a BFN, this is day 13 so I'm probably out, but will wait for AF to come along and confirm I guess. I'm figuring we should maybe try changing donor for a round next time and if that doesn't work I suppose IVF is next. I was trying to convnice myself there was a squinter of a line, but I think I'm just messing with my own brain! I felt like I had more "symptoms" this time, which sadly just means I'm officially going mad!! Congrats V81, first time lucky!! Here's to a healthy pregnancy, lots and lots of luck to you. Cari, 15 sounds good for day 10, I bet by the time you O or trigger it will be a good 20+ GOOD LUCK!!!! Baby dust to you!!
Has anyone gotten a BFP with no symptoms?? I am 8dpiui and haven't really felt anything... starting to get discouraged but trying to keep the hope alive.
Hello again everyone! Congrats to the ladies who got BFP's. My hunny and I are on the way to the doc now for our ultrasound. Finished another cycle of Clomid a few days ago and now to see if we have some eggs in the basket ready to go, lol. Wish us luck, baby dust to everyone! <3
Firsttimetxmoms: I did not have many symptoms at all until I got within the last couple of days within my TWW. My only 'symptom' was (sorry if it is TMI) nipples were a bit sensitive, but nothing major.
Some people talk about bleeding and cramps near implantation, but I had neither. I also used the home pregnancy tests and I got 2 BFN (probably did them to early), then on my test day, I got a BFP the next morning, now I am about 2 months pregnant.
Don't give up hope, we all respond differently, and just have to pay attention to our bodies and trust the timing of our IUI.
We received good news at our ultrasound - 3 large follicles (we only had two the first time). Hoping and praying this will be the one! Took my trigger shot last night at 8 pm and the IUI is at 9 am tomorrow ... then we wait. This is either going to make me a more patient person or it's going to drive me nuts! LOL
Scarlett, it will drive you nuts!!! BFN for me yesterday on day 14, just waiting for AF to show up so we can move on to next month. Looking at different donors as we are out of our current one and although he has plenty left we have had too many BFNs, our RE recommends changing it up even though his numbers have always been good. I really thought this was the one as I had the sensitive nipples abarrett was talking about, and some cramping and could smell bad stuff a mile away!! Must have been all in my mind. Not gonna lie, I'm ready for this journey to be over.
prbs2002 - I am so sorry about your BFN, it does get discouraging. We are so hopeful that this second try is our lucky one because we will have to wait a month or two before trying again. Our insurance covers NOTHING and I am not sure we can afford another try right away, which is depressing :( But we are trying to stay as positive as we can and not let the negative crap get us down. Best of luck to you as you continue the journey. <3
Scarlett, I hear you - our insurance only covers blood tests so we are out of pocket too for every ultrasound, insem, whatever!! It stacks up. We will probably try in July and if that doesn't work take August off so I can travel to visit family in Europe, then back to it in Sept. I guess we give a new donor a chance then re evaluate in the fall. Best of luck to you, I hope this is your lucky cycle!!
I am so sorry for all the BFNs. Prbs I thought this was it for you. We are trying a new donor this cycle as well. Three negatives was our threshold. I am hoping that his numbers and everything is good. He is sold out and I have only been able to make contact with one person that has used him.
Yesterday had a second rescan of our follicles as they were too small on Monday. We had one at 20 and another at 17 and 6 others that were a bit smaller. Clearly we responded well to the clomid. We triggered last night and have our IUI tomorrow!! I am so ready for the BFP. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but I have a good feeling about this one. All of my wife's numbers are good. Maybe we will get our miracle. Pregnancy test already scheduled for the 6th so then we will finally know. I am giddy and excited and have so many emotions right now. This break has been good, but long. We need our BFP like so many are getting. I know we all deserve BFPs. When I get down about everyone on fb getting pregnant except us my wife reminds me there is not an unlimited number of babies. So let's make them all this month.

Any symptoms I should look out for?
