I agree with you. Try to hold off on testing as long as you can, but go for it if it becomes unbearable.
Won't next Sunday be day 17 (counting from the date of the egg retrieval? Shouldn't you be able to test this Sunday or Monday (day 10 or 11)? IVF is a little different from IUI, so I'm not sure how to count the days... Regardless, only a few more days to go until you find out!
I can't wait to hear the news!! All fingers crossed!

I'm at home. I've just tested and BFN :-( maybe too early. Maybe was not the first urine in the morning...

Stay positive! It looks like the hormones from the shots are out of your system, so at least you don't have to wonder if you are getting a false positive. It may be too early to get a true positive, but it should show up shortly. :) How do you feel? Any different?

BFN today too. I know I'm done...
I have four embies on ice so... I'll have to come back again...

Don't give up yet. Give it a few more days. IVF process is so different from IUI, so it may take longer for the embryo to attach and start releasing hcg. They are not planning to test you for another 7 days. There has to be a reason for that. Hold on just a little bit longer!

    BFP!!!!!!!!!!!
    Can't believe it :-)
786 was my beta today. Even higher than with my son. This last week was very stressing...
How are you doing? When do you have your next appointment?
    I give you my email pepasg2 @ gmail.com.
    So so happy.... Lol

    Hello Mybaby79,

Congratulations! What kind of med did you use for your IUI? Clomid? And what else? Trigger shot?

    Thanks alot

I used Follistim 75 units per day starting day 3 and stopping one day before Ovidrel (trigger shot). Clomid did not work for me. It seemed to thin my uterus lining.

    Good luck Tullibs!

    Mybaby 79,

Thanks for your reply. I did IUI yesterday with the donor 14081. I had one big follicle 21mm and the other was 14 mm. The Dr. said i dont need to trig because I will ovulate on my own. I was on clomid for five days starting from day three.

What day of your cycle did you trig? And how long after the trig shot you did IUI? And how many follicle you had and what size they were? :)

I am in the 2 week wait...

    Appreciate your reply.

    Hi Tullibs,

I triggered day 13 and had the IUI done day 15 (40 hours after the trigger). I had one follicle in each ovary. If I remember right, one was 18 mm and the other 16 mm. The doctor thought that there was a chance I may have twins because the trigger shot helps the follicles/eggs mature and release if they are at least 16 mm, but at the 8-week ultrasound we saw that there was only one baby.
I used this donor in February, but it didn't out work for me. I used a different donor in March and got pregnant. "Looking for a Baby" used the same donor as you for her IVF.
The 2 week wait was so long for me! I finally got my positive test day 9 or 10. Good luck!!! I hope it works for you this month. :)

    Hi again,

Thanks for wishing me good luck!

I have been experiencing a lower back pain as I read on google it says it is a sign of implantation. (hopefully)

Yes, I have been reading the posts and know that looking for a baby did IVF with donor 14081:)

My cycle was 27 days and did IUI day 14. I wish I done it a day early.

Sorry for asking you too many questions but was your cycle 28 days?

    Appreciated,

    Tullibs

    Hi Tullibs,

My cycle is typically 28 days, but because of the way my appointments were made to monitor the follicles, I ended up waiting an extra day (day 15) to do the IUI. I wish it was done day 14, but doctors know best. :)
Hey, this is day 5 for you! Just a few more days to go - hang in there!

    Hi Looking for a baby!

It is good to hear from you. And thanks for your wishes... Yes, I am very worried! I have a failed IVF with my husband in June and switched to IUI with this donor.

Today is 8 days after IUI. It is hard to see any early sign of pregnancy!

    Thanks again,

    Tullibs

It took me 9 or 10 days to get a positive pregnancy test. Give it a few more days for sure. When is your blood test scheduled for?
Good luck!!! You are getting really close.

    Mybaby 79,

Tomorrow is day 10 after IUI and I am really afraid to test because of the failed IVF that I went through. I have not scheduled blood test yet. I have experienced lower back pain days 4-5 after IUI and today I had a white thick creamy discharge.

I am supposed to start my cycle Thursday. I guess I will wait to see if I miss my cycle and use hpt after that :)

    Fingers crossed :)

    Hello Looking for a baby,

Did you do natural IVF with this donor? Or ICSI IVF? How many eggs got fertilized?

    Thank you!

    My baby79,

Did you have an LH surge when you triggered shot? Or you triggered before the LH surge?

I think i missed my window.

    Hi Tullibs,

I'm sorry it didn't work for you this month. The same thing happened to me with this donor. I was so upset that I cried and actually thought about doing IVF if the third attempt did not work. The following month I used the original donor and it worked.
Hmmm, my doctor did not mention the LH surge, so I have no idea. The trigger shot is supposed to finalize the follicle/egg growth and start the ovulation approx. 36-40 hours after it's taken. The eggs only live for about 12-24 hours, so it's very important to have the IUI done a little bit before or right after you ovulate. The first time I had an IUI done, I felt a lot of discomfort in my ovaries, so I knew that the trigger shot worked. The second and third time, I didn't feel much discomfort at all. It doesn't mean that you did not ovulate. Ohhh, I worried about everything! :)
How was your lining on Clomid last month? Follistim worked much better for me. The follicles were bigger and the lining was much thicker. It was only 6 mm on Clomid and 12 mm on Follistim.
Keep trying! It will be worth it!! Let us know how it goes in August.

Thanks for your reply My baby79,

Is checking the uterine lining through ultrasound or blood work?

Yes, this time I am going to use the trigger shot+ clomid.

    Appreciated,

    Tullibs

yes, I just checked my uterine lining on the last u/s sheet, 6 mm

    Hi Tullibs,

My doctor wanted to see at least 10 mm because it makes it easier for the embryo to attach itself and start growing. Check it out on google. You'll see what others are saying about it.
My doctor did not like that it was so low on Clomid, so he switched me to Follistim. Follistim requires you to give yourself shots, but it's really not that bad. It is a lot more expensive though if your insurance does not cover it... I think I paid about $270 for one refill. The third time I had the IUI done, I was put on the max dose, so I had to purchase three refills. In the end, it was well worth it.
The lining is checked through the ultrasound. Mine was checked three times while preparing for the IUI. He wanted to see approx. 1mm growth per day. Once you give yourself the trigger shot, he said that the lining stops growing and the body starts preparing for the ovulation.

    Hi Tullibs
Sorry it didn't work for you. As Mybaby says, a thick lining is crucial for the embryo. In my country they want you to have at least 8mm.
Donor 14081 worked for me. It was an ICSI fiv, and all the mature eggs were fertilized normally. So, it was the best rate possible.
I hope you find the donor who suits for you and get your pregnancy. Trigger shot is also important to know the exact date of ovulation and make an accurate IUI.
    Best of luck!

    Well, ladies,

I am going to skip this cycle as I want to see my fertility specialist who said he will put me on gonal f and menapur+ injection. No clomid.

I will keep you guys updated.
