nettibug Nope did not check my hormone levels before the IUI. The only thing I did was pee on a stick. I did nothing else. No other tests. Not sure how the hormone levels are. I am sorry. Good luck nettibug it will happen for you. Remember I am almost 43.
Congrats anissaS. I am just starting went to see my RE, yesterday to have a plan of action. I am 42, this will be my 1st IUI try. Did anyone take DHEA. I would like to try wo meds but am afraid if I don't, I miss the opportunity. My doc is aggressive, and wants me to do take femara and the shot also. Any words of wisdom would be great.
Hope, I have taken femara and the HCG shot in all my attempts because I have PCOS. They have definately helped me to ovulate and I have had no side effects. It's up to you if you want to take meds or not, but I would be as aggressive as my doctor recommended.
So, I had IUI #5 yesterday. My doctor said everything looks great. I am hoping this will be my month. I feel like the stars are alligning, and I am very hopeful. I looked at the calendar this morning and realized my day to test would be my dad's birthday. He passed away 11 years ago. Maybe I am just hoping for a sign, but I felt like it was a little message to me that my dad got my back this time. So, I am committed to waiting to test until that day this time:) Plus, I was thinking if it works, I could tell my mom on mother's day. What better mother's day gift is there other than telling her she will be a grandma? So, I decided this month is my month...hopefully my body agrees:)
Also, the sono on Monday showed 1 good follicle on the right. We could not get a good picture of my left. My uterus is tilted and makes sonos very painful for me. My dr figured since we saw one good follicle, there was no need to keep putting me in pain to try to see the left since we were going to proceed anyway. Well, IUI was at 4pm yesterday. Cramping on the right started about 6:30pm yesterday. This has been the worse cramping I have had since the first one. Then, I woke up to cramping on the left this morning. I am thinking there might have been a second follicle on the left that we missed. So, I am pretty positive and feeling good today.
OMG!!! I would love that. He is so amazing and his staff is incredible too. I am a regular on his nurses' line because I tend to think of questions after I leave, and they are so patient with me.
Would you believe I was there yesterday at 8am, for follow up. Got my forms signed, so am going to fax them over to cryo coming Monday. My 1st iui April 26/27. Am excited and nervous at the same time. am on my cell it takes longer to type. It's gd to know the nurseline is available.
good luck austingurl!!! my 5th IUI will tentatively be next week. I started the injectibles yesterday and last month it only took 7 days for 2 large follicles! I am like you and always hoping for a sign....whether it works or not, definitely take it as a sign that your dad has your back and is excited for you!
Good luck, austingurl! After all these tries I am big on signs now too, and I truly hope this is your cycle! No matter what, that's a lovely thought about your Dad and I'm sure he is there for you!
Hope, that is funny. I was there Monday and Tuesday too. My email is austingurl@hotmail.com if you ever want to chat.
Good luck Jaimec!!!
I think this is going to be the longest 2ww ever. For some reason, they were getting easier, but I am already counting down on this one (not a good sign this early). My friends are taking me out to dinner and for retail therapy this weekend to help the weekend go by faster since they are always the hardest for me.
I haven't been on in a while because I was feeling too depressed not being able to try. However, I got the go ahead this cycle and entered my TWW with #2 IUI on 4/11/12. So, I'm right there with you, austingurl.
I really think this will be the longest 2ww ever. I am really struggling this time. It's only been 3 days, and I am already going crazy!!! This is definately not a good sign for how my next few weeks will go:(
Good luck Amy and Austingurl. Austingurl, did you survive the weekend. I know keeping busy helped me. You will be okay. Remember do not test early, I tested way to early and they were all negatives. Then tested on Day 27 and it was faintly positive. I know the 2 ww is the hardest. Keep positive thoughts and keep us up to date.
I survived. I worked in my yard a lot Saturday. Then Sunday, I went to lunch and shopping with friends. I can't believe it hasn't even been a week yet...grrrr. I hate this part of the process. It would help if I was busy at work, but it was slow last week and will probably be slow this coming week too. And I am absolutely determined not to test until the right day. I swear time is standing still sometimes.
I had my 1st IUI (natural, non meds) on 4/13/12. My short bio: I am 36 y/o with no fertility issues, and my DH is 33 y/o with azoospermia. We have been TTC for 7 years, so this is our first big step. I am not stressing out right now, just really happy right now. Baby dust to everyone !!!
I having some abdominal cramping sort like menstrual cramping. My AF is scheduled on 4/26. I know our minds play tricks on us, so I'm a bit curious and concerned at the same time. Will call my Dr. In the morning. Thanks ladies :)
momochan i had cramping for 2 weeks after my IUI. I am happily 10 weeks pregnant. It is probably your mind playing tricks on you. By all means call your doc if you need to. I thought AF was coming as well and it didn't. PMS and pregnancy symptoms can be the same. Good luck and keep us up to date.
I am doing okay. Emotions are so weird in this process. Last week I was so optimistic and sure it would work. This week, I am sure it didn't. I am down to 6 more days before I test. This week seems to be going faster than last week did so that is definitely good. I guess I just need to work on my patience. It's just so weird to me. It seems like after AF arrives, I start the meds, I go for a sono, and 2 weeks fly by until it's IUI time. But then after IUI, I feel like the next two weeks drag on. I guess it's because I am not doing anything (likes meds or a sono) to be proactive.
