Today I broke down and tested. I've been nausea for two days. Other than feeling nausea the symptoms that started are signs of AF which is due 7/2 , tender breast and mild cramping.
I know it's possible that's it's still to early but....
If it is negative, I wonder if I can start IVF this cycle or if I have to wait it out.
Time will tell.... Good luck to everyone in the TWW.
I'm actually still up working and losing confidence because the cramps are getting more intense like AF. Even though she's not due to show her face until Wed. At least I will know for certainty, and can make plans to move forward with either result.
How's it going with you?
Jenn-That kind of stinks with your insurance. The fact you have to try 6 IUI's I can understand, but the IVF is the more expensive process that should be covered.
I tried IUI once, but I'm 42 and didn't want to mess around, so I'm going to jump straight to IVF. My insurance will stop covering any fertility procedures at age 44.
Good luck and I will continue to chronicle my journey
Hopefully tomorrow will show a few more, so that I increase the odds of having 2 quality blasts to implant and 2 to freeze.
Best wishes to everyone on their journey
Love that your chronicling your journey .
Best wishes on your journey!
I just took my trigger of pregnyl in preparation for a Wed. Retrieval.
My experience with egg retrieval: I only remember the first few minutes. I recall watch the ultrasound screen and feeling the needle moving around and saying to the nurse I feel that. Next thing I recall is waking up in recover.
Make sure you take the entire day off! Some website say you can return to activities in a few hours, no so. I was in discomfort all day, bumps in the car ride home, sitting, standing, laying etc..
(I also didn't fill the Rx for pain just a Tylenol)
This morning I'm moving a little faster, my abdomen is not painful to touch and I'm able to move around with significantly less pain.
Of the 18 retrieved, 8 fertilized with ICSI. I'm not certain of the 18 how many were mature. Tomorrow morning I will get another call from embryology updating development and probably deciding if I am having a day 3 or 5 transfer.
I have to admit, a part that I struggle with is in normal fertilization the best sperm wins. I didn't ask if there is a process in selecting the sperm or the simply go fishing for the first the catch.
Sf13, my RE always does ICSI on frozen donor sperm because they can be a bit sluggish after thawing (they warm up in the human body) and he wants to make sure that every egg that can be fertilized is.
