Sorry KBT for the negative. I know it disappointing. I have had 3 negative IVF cycles before moving onto donor sperm. My transfer is set for June 17 and my specimen is en route to my RE's office as I type this.
Sorry for the delay...work got crazy. I'm really sorry about the BFN @KBT. Don't let it get you down though. Heard that the right mindset is also good for prepping the body.
I'm okay. This is the first time I've even missed AF and I think my body is adjusting. Attitude is like a roller coaster and I spent most of this first week (4th week of pregnancy) freaking out bc of the cramping. Apparently that's normal though and I've noticed the more I get up and move around the better it is. Other than the cramping Dixie70 the only symptom I've noticed is changes in breasts. They are noticably bigger and extremely sensitve lol. Learning to work around that as well. Also...don't know if this is relevant but my pushups are terrible now...almost as if my upper body strength has been zapped. Same for pull ups.
Maybe try the medicated cycle. IVF is very expensive and the timing might have just been off a little w/ this last one. With the clomid at least you get multiple eggs.
Thanks. Fortunately my insurance covers 2 IVF cycles. I have 3 vials left. I think I will do one medicated cycle provided I speak with my dr before it's time to starts meds (I think day 3) and only use 1 vial. Then at least I will have 2 vials for IVF
KBT, we are doing IVF also. That's great that your insurance covers 2 cycles of IVF. If you have extras, maybe that could give you siblings as well. We are hoping through our cycle we will have enough for siblings. Our RE also recommended shipping 2 vials. The specimen arrived on Friday. It's a count down to June 17th for is.
Our insurance covers 3 IVF cycles IF you use your husband's sperm. Considering I have a wife, I don't qualify. Trying to see if they can make an exception for our circumstance. Has anyone else had to work through that?
That's ridiculous! What if there were issues with your husbands sperm. We initial thought my insurance was going to give problems because I'm doing this single fortunately I no issues other than genetic screening I had in the tune of $8k. The testing company has been acting on my behalf to get that covered.
So far the RE's office has submitted all the info to our insurance for a pre-authorization. If they approve, we will get started (assuming this IUI hasn't worked). If they deny, then we start an appeal. I don't understand how they can offer benefits for us, but then restrict them based on our genders. It is all in how the plan is written. Hoping for a good outcome soon either way. I wish you the best of luck too!!!

Micah - any significant symptoms to speak of?
