Hello, I was wondering if anyone can share how many rounds of IUI or IVF they did as a 42 year old or older. If you even tried IUI and any advice. Thank you
Hello, at the age of 43 I tried 7 IUIs (3 unmedicated/4medicated) and got pregnant on my 7th attempt. All the best to you on your journey
Amazing! thank you so much for sharing and congrats to you and your family!
At 44, I had three rounds of IUI and was unsuccessful. One round of IVF, and I have my baby! Good luck!
I am 4 weeks pregnant using IVF. 1st transfer. Age 44
I’ve had 8 medicated IUI’s at age 43 and no success. Starting IVF. Would you ladies mind sharing the clinic you used? You have all given me more hope!
Are you all doing pgt testing? Has anyone done fresh embryo transfer without testing?
Did everyone that had to do IVF after failed IUI use ivf or iui donor vials for their ivf? I only have ivf vials and with my clinic washing them I'm wondering if I will have enough quality and quantity of sperm to be successful. Also, is everyone using frozen eggs?. At 45 to not risk it due to poor egg quality, I am using my frozen eggs and having pgt-a testing.
Following this thread! I joined the forum today, and so far this is the only thread I’ve seen for age 42+. I’m age 39 but I haven’t found other chats for 40+ yet.
Bookgirl -was your ivf round fully medicated or natural cycle with only vaginal progesterone?
following this thread too
Hi everyone! I'm 45 years old and considering IUI. Has anyone had a successful IUI pregnancy at my age? I'd love to hear about your experiences and any advice you may have. Thank you!
I would really advise skipping straight to IVF. I did 9 IUI’s and two home insemenations without any success. Rach quality follicle you have (within an IUI round) gives you a 2% chance. So four follicles (which contain the egg) gives you 8%. What state are you in? I had to go to a private clinic and pay out of pocket before getting the true and correct info!
Also, all of the latest research shows that vaginal suppositories for progesterone ate not as effective/ much lower success than Progesterone shots or the combo of the two together. Answering Californiadteamin… earlier question.
Thanks! I currently take 100mg of progesterone PO , pill, for 10 days for hormone regulation right now.
@TeacherKD they told me I have 4% IVF, but it's very expensive. IUI 2%
If you are in California, all companies with 100+ employees have to offer IVF coverage as of Jan 1st. But, Kaiser won’t do egg retrievals once you hit age 44. If you’re paying out of pocket, check out Shady Grove Fertility. They have the highest success rates in the US and are in many states.
