in Selecting a Sperm Donor
Just had my very first IUI this morning with this donor, just waiting now during my 2WW.

Anyone have any luck with him? They said the sample looked great, keeping my fingers crossed, but trying to just tell myself it's not going to happen on the first try so I'm not disappointed. It's going to be the longest 2 weeks ever.

    We recently purchased 2 vials for this donor!! We are planning to inseminate in September I'd love to know if your IUI is successful!

    I am currently on my 4th cycle with this donor. No luck so far. Hoping you have better luck than me.

    Well, our first attempt was unsucessful. Going in tomorrow for our second attempt..... Fingers crossed!!!

    Alik49- 3 have had good motility and 2 have not. Attempting #6 next week. Please keep me updated, I wish you the best of luck. The donor has only been available since Dec 2014, and has more than 5 pregnancies (as per my phone call with the CCB).

    My last attempt I did an HSG with back to back IUIs. This cycle I am taking meds, however I do not have fertility issues (just bad luck apparently).

    Found out yesterday that my second attempt was unsuccessful too. Will be trying again in a few weeks. We have 3 vials left, debating if we use all of these vials if we will purchase more of him, or go with a different donor. I know he only has a limited amount left, so I don't know what to do :(

    How did your 6th attempt go, wishing you all the luck and baby dust!! Please let me know!!!

    Just went for #6 today. I'm sorry to hear that your second attempt was unsuccessful. I just found out my prolactin level was very high, which causes infertility. Unfortunately i found out too late and already had the vial shipped and IUI scheduled. Not feeling very optimistic this time. If this attempt is unsuccessful I will take the next cycle off to work on regulating my prolactin level before trying again.

    I'm hoping that 6 is your lucky number, will be thinking about you!! How many vials do you have left, have you thought about switching donors? I really like him, but I don't know what we'll do if we use all our vials, a new donor may be our route.

    Please keep me posted! I'll be going in for my third attempt in 2 weeks!

    I have 4 left. I purchased 10 originally thinking that would be enough for 2 babies....but now just hoping for 1. I am not planning on buying more using the same donor. My doctor does recommend switching donors. I should know my results by the time you go for your third IUI. Do you have any fertility issues? Have you had your blood work checked? Are you seeing your OB/GYN or an RE?

    I had my blood drawn after my first IUI, they wanted to make sure I ovulated. They were wanting a 7 or higher, I was a 12, so they said I defiantly ovulated. I'm not sure what else they checked. I go to a fertility clinic. No fertility issues that I'm aware of, I haven't been on any meds. My husband has a very low sperm count and was not able to have children, so we went the donor route.

    I'm 33 and don't know how many of my friends and family members baby showers I've sat through, it truly brings tears to my eyes to think about sitting at my own shower getting ready to start our family. I'm really trying to be patient, but we all know this process is an emotional roller coaster. I'm very thankful for this group, knowing I'm not alone is very comforting. And being able to talk to those going through the same thing is amazing!!

    How did number 6 turn out, I hope it was successful! I'm still waiting for my surge to appear on my ovulation kit, should be any day now!

    I am taking a break this cycle to work on lowering my prolactin level (which is most likely what is making it difficult to conceive). Keep me posted and good luck to you!!!

    No, third attempt was also unsucessful. We only have 2 vials left, so I'm really feeling the pressure now.

    Our doctor started me on Clomid, only on day 2 of taking it. Also had blood drawn and an ultra sound. Blood work results will be back next week, the ultra sound showed everything good. My doctor thinks the meds will help a lot and believes that one of these last two attempts will be sucessful.....i hope so. Ill be going in for the 4th attempt in about 2 weeks.

    Are your prolactin levels down?

    I have a good feeling about your next try with being on the Clomid. I myself am taking femara which is pretty much the same thing. My prolactin did come down a bit but still considered high (only by 0.5) My Dr doesn't think i need meds to lower it at this point and wants me to have it tested again next month. I am going to try again this cycle. Probably in 2 weeks.
    This whole process is heart wrenching and extremely frustrating. To make matters worse i just started a new job and cannot ask for time off right now. So i am praying that i ovulate on my day off or else i cant go. So much stress, planning, and disappointment. When are you expected to try again?

    I just realized you already answered my question. Looks like our schedules are aligned this cycle. My app says 14 days!!!

    I hope you are right and the Clomid works! I just got all my tests results back this afternoon and everything looked good, so that's a relief! So glad to hear your level is decreasing and you're trying again this cycle, I'll certainly be thinking of you and wish you all the luck and baby dust coming your way!! This is a very frustrating and sometimes I just want to cry, I totally understand how you feel.

    I'll be going in for my next attempt next week, Wed or Thursday. I'll keep you posted!!

    Went in for my 4th attempt on Wed, currently in the awful 2WW!! I'll be able to take a test on Wed (28th), I'll be sure to let you know!

    Took a pregnancy test this morning, it was POSITIVE!! Going to see the doctor on Friday afternoon at 2:00!!!

    Took my pregnancy test this morning, it was POSITIVE!!! Going in to see the doctor Friday at 2:00 for blood work and then will have my first ultra sound in 2-3 weeks. Should get a due date then, I'm thinking it will be around July 6th.

    Did your work schedule allow you to go in??? My fingers are crossed for you!

    Haha, wow, I'm a moron!

    I was posting all of these because I didn't see them being posted, then it hit me to look for a "page 2". I then saw all my posts and saw that you answered my question!! So glad you were able to get off work at your new job, praying you get a BFP!!! Keep me posted!!

    Yay!!!! I am so excited for you. Did you feel any different this time around? I am 8dpiui today and am hoping for my bfp too. I will keep you posted!

    Thank you!! I have a good feeling you'll be getting you bfp this time too, I can't wait to hear!

    I did feel different! Last week I noticed I was very hungry, I would eat and be hungry in 1-2 hours, which is very unlike me. I also was getting heartburn, something I've never had an issue with. I was also burping a lot which I thought was strange! I didn't experience and nausea until this morning when I was drinking my coffee. I also had a lot of cramping.
