  • Hi Ladies

Seems like we are all going to be in the 2WW at the same time!! Wish us all luck that we don't go insane! LOL!

I was reading both of your messages and smiled as each others process is so different - I have had the HSG but you guys haven't yet your doctors are telling you both to get ultrasounds whereas my doctor hasn't mentioned it...is that weird? Any advice?

My cycle this month was also different Rebecca - it was a day short for the first time in a long time. Guess our bodies know something is happening.

Great that your RE stores your vitals Riley! My doctor doesn't store vitals so I have to get them shipped. I am thinking I will order it on Saturday to arrive by Monday at least that way I have it for next week when I am meant to ovulate. I believe they last up to 7 days once shipped.

awww it is getting close, best of luck ladies and please keep me updated when you go in and how you keep sane during the 2WW
  • I had IVF with this donor and am now pregnant with triplets. Though I'm thrilled to be pregnant, I'm totally freaked out about the possibility of even twins, let alone triplets. But it is early still (7 weeks) and one or more could miscarry. How I will manage to take care of more than one infant as a single professional is still mystifying.

good luck to everyone in the wait. looks like there could be a lot of babies running around from this donor. :-)
  • Oh wow ksink .... Good luck to you. Different people would deal with a triplet pregnancy in different ways.

I'm sure you have discussed options with your doctor. Good luck with whatever happens.

I am single and in my 2WW with 12434 right now. I had 3 follicles for IUI. We'll see what happens, though I am not expecting the possibility of triplets. I bought a family tomorrow worth of vials, so If it doesn't take this month I will try next month and the month after and then switch to IVF. One way or another, I will be pregnant by this donor.

Some people currently pregnant with this donor have contacted me - rileyccb@gmail.com. When I'm officially pregnant (or maybe sooner), I'll start an email list or yahoo group. You can join if you want. If you want to stay anonymous, you can create an email address with a fake name and use that ... right?

    Best of luck!
  • holy cow ksink, triplets! congrats! i know it must seem scary but people figure it out somehow. i am a photographer and did a story once where a couple who wasn't using any fertility meds at all (and already had one daughter) had natural quadruplets. they lived in the tiniest house at the time. they weren't sure how they did it but they figure it out. obviously there were two parents involved, but they also got a lot of help from family and friends. i think that's the key to multiples. regardless, at least you got your money's worth!

we're in our second tww wait right now with 12434. 10 dpo. my wife has had a lot symptoms such as a cold, being super hot, really really tired, pains/twinges in the crease of her body/thigh... she's also really craving beer (she's not a drinker) and has been insanely snippy. i almost laughed at her last night as she was making a phone call and the automated phone menu was really making her angry!

we're obviously hoping this is it, but we're also very realistic since many (many) of our friends have had trouble conceiving with frozen sperm. we have one friend who got pregnant on both her iui's... must be nice!

it's hard being the spouse not going through the physical tww since i have no control of the situation. i wish i could just plug her into something and read all her symptoms. she has a good friend who told her tww symptoms are made up so she's not always telling me if she feels something because she feels it's a load of crap!

    women!

the pain/cramp she felt was right when implantation would occur, so hopefully that was it. no implantation bleeding but i'm not sure she'd even notice... she can be pretty oblivious sometimes.

i wonder how many people are pregnant with his sperm that aren't on the message boards... at least we know his swimmers are really really good!
  • lots of us in our 2ww period - sending positive energy to us all

    best,
    rebecca
  • Sending positive thoughts to you all!

I am in the 2WW also.

My doctor seemed very pleased with the procedure...and extremely happy with my hormone levels and my clear HSG result.

She said my uterus was very nice and the sperm was good looking. Not sure what all that means LOL! But fingers crossed.

I am on Day 3 - not feeling 100% , lots of cramps during the procedure and the day after. Feel nauseous today but putting that down to nerves.

Good luck everyone - looking forward to an update in 2 weeks!
  • Good luck to everyone trying. I'm now at 22 wks 3 days, and I can feel them kick. It's really cool, although everyone who whined about swollen ankles, heartburn from hell, and feeling awfully stretched was absolutely right.

I had an HSG early in the process, and we didn't see good flow from my L overy, but *shrug* who knows. I didn't get pregnant for real until I did IVF anyway, though I did have a chemical or two during my IUI phase.

ksink -- good luck and try not to panic. I had triplets at week 7, and all three of them had heartbeats. I actually had an appointment with a doctor who does selective reduction, but when I went in for an U/S at 10 weeks to try to plot out the reduction, I had 2 healthy looking 10 week heart beating blobs, and 1 non-heart-beating 7 week sized blob, and now at 22 weeks, my twins are looking FINE.

I'm a bit freaked about twins as a single professional woman, but also super excited.

My next OB appt is tomorrow, and I'm scheduled for a fetal echo on 10/18, so *crosses fingers* everything looks good so far. btw, the fetal echo is NOT because they found something wrong. It's just because the higher one was hiding under my rib cage during the anatomy scan and refused to show his heart fully.
  • Congrats Jiapa! You said the higher one refused to show HIS heart.

Are your twins two boys or boy/girl?

Glad to hear it's progressing smoothly, even if with swollen ankles.

Are you a member of single mother's by choice? They have lots of single professional women who had twins.
  • Riley,

boy/girl - David Thomas and Elspeth Ann, to be.

And yeah, I'm a member of SMC. Not very active, but a member. I'll be at the conference Saturday. Are you going to be there?

  • Riley & Rebecca

Just wanted to check in to see how you are both going in your 2WW?

We must all be getting close to test day. I have had some period symptoms so not overly convinced it worked :-( But I will test to be sure.

    Hope you both are well!

    Roxy
  • Hey ladies. I am 13dpo, and I thought I had some shadow lines yesterday, but they're gone this morning. Not feeling great about my chances this cycle. But I'll just be on to try again next cycle.

RebeccaL, were you at the SMC event yesterday? I was, and I bumped into someone else in this thread who was there too. We sat together and wondered if anyone else was a 12434 person.
  • Glad to hear you are both doing well. The 2ww has been much more difficult than I thought - it's just been on my mind so much. I do not expect to test positive, just my way of preparing myself. Will know in a few days...

I was at the SMC event this weekend and thought it was very interesting. Hope you also enjoyed it.

Good luck and will check back in soon.
    Rebecca
  • BPN for me this first attempt.

Riley I read on another thread you weren't successful this first attempt either but your doctor knows why which is good news!

I am going to take 100mg of Clomid this 2nd round as I only have one vital left and want to give it all I have before I move back to Australia at the end of November. Though I will keep an eye on this board in case any one is selling any vitals :-)

Rebecca I hope you have better news!
  • I'm sorry Roxy :( Good luck. I actually know of someone who has 3 vials and she wants to sell them, but she already had them shipped to her fertility clinic. I can ask her if you are serious about buying them. If this is your last shot, ask your doctor for an estrogen supplement to help your lining (it's taken after you finish clomid). I don't think it can hurt, but it can help counter the clomid lining side effect (that was my problem on try #1).

Rebecca - hoping for good news.

Ladies, I posted this in the donor selection thread but wanted to post here ---

I have started a secret fb group for those of us aggressively trying or already pregnant with 12434. It is a secret group. No one outside the group can see your membership or anything posted.

I have personally met one person already pregnant and I have been in regular email contact with someone else who is pregnant.

Anyway - if you want to join the group, email me: rileyccb@gmail.com. I'll need to friend you on fb, but then I can add you to the group.
  • Hi Riley

I would LOVE to buy some more vitals! Like you I am really hoping to get pregnant by this donor! and would love to continue to try (even in Australia) or I would fly back here to continue to get it done. So please do ask.

I am actually going to ask my doctor for the supplement also, as you said cant hurt!

I will email you also to join the group as I would love to continue to see how it all pans out for all of us :-)

Thanks again - I will email you shortly

    Roxy
  • Riley and Roxy, just checking in to say hello.

No luck on my first try which is just what I was prepared for. Here I go for my 2nd round - staying positive but also realistic.

    Good luck to you both
    Enjoy your day
    Rebecca
  • Sorry to hear that, Rebecca :(

I'm about 10 days in to my second cycle (not 10dpo - just CD10).

Don't want to push, but I'll make one last pitch for you to join the facebook secret group. I check back here every so often, but it's much easier to share info through fb. Roxy and I are both there in addition to 2 confirmed pregnant women.

    5 women --> 2 TTC women, 2 pregnant women, 1 partner-of-pregnant women (+ 3 babies in utero)

I think I'll probably tell the fb ladies when I get my BFP before most anyone else.
  • Thought I'd update the folks on this string with my sad news. I was pregnant with 12434. At 7 weeks they thought it was triplets, but it turned out that it was quadruplets. I had IVF with 4 embryos transfered (got talked in to it because I was nearly 40 and the blastocyst quality wasn't good). 3 took and one split into identical twins . At 12 weeks all four were still alive, but the twins had a chromosomal abnormality and were going to threaten the whole pregnancy. Thus, I chose to have selective reduction. I ended up reducing from 4 to 1 as I didn't see how I could care for more than 1 baby being a single mother. At 19 weeks I went in to pre-term labor and gave birth to my son, Gavin. He died shortly therafter, of course.

If anyone has one or more vials from this donor they'd be willing to sell, I'd pay top dollar. I want to try again and really want to use the same donor so that I could have a full sibling to the son I lost. If you want to contact me, you can email me at ksink7@triad.rr.com
