TWINS due August 1, 2013 donor 12742

Had my first ultra sound this morning. Dr says I'm 7.5 weeks along...there are 2 in there! I go back next Thursday for another ultra sound. Both heartbeats were really strong, but one baby is measuring a little smaller and the sac is measuring a little bigger, but she is optomistic everything is fine because of the strong heartbeat.

Prayers prayers and more prayers for healthy little duckies!!!!!

  • Awesome, congratulations!
  • Congratulations!,,,,,,
  • Thank you thank you thank you so much!
  • Congrats!!! I am so happy for you:)
  • Woo Woo! So, great Melissa!!! Awesome!
  • I reported my pregnancy and received my keepsake package the other day. Going to put it in a safe place for the rugrats

    Thanks so much everyone :)
  • What a wonderful Christmas gift! Congrats!!!
  • Melissa

What type of keepsake package the other day? I got nothing so I am wondering if it is something new. Let me know.

    Congrats again.
  • Congrats! How exciting!
  • Anissa, when you report your pregnancy they are supposed to send a keepsake package with the photos and all the information printed out. If you paid for a subscription. When I reported it online I didn't hear anything from them, so I sent an email and they updated the information and sent it to me, and I had it within a few days.

And thanks everyone :) Very Merry Christmas!
  • Melissa

I didn't pay for a subscription so maybe that is why I got nothing. Also my donor did not have pictures online. I know, but I still went with it. My son is adorable, so I have no regrets.

    Congrats again.
  • Oh yeah, that's why. I'm glad he is healthy and perfect!!! Of course he is adorable...most handsome little thing ever! LOL!

    Thank you!
  • Melissa

I always told my family that I would never say my son was cute, as I find most babies (and a lot of them I have seen) are not very cute. One of my nieces was very ugly at birth but now she is gorgeous. So I was semi shocked that he is cute. Even though he looked like Benjamin Button when he was born. He was wrinkly and all.
  • I reported my pregnancy and never received a keepsake package:( I guess I need to get on that and figure out what I did wrong or why it didn't go through.
  • Anissa, that is too funny.
Austingurl, definitely call them. It didn't go through when I just reported it online, IDK why.
  • Congrats!! Do you mind sharing your medication regimen? And did you do IVF?
  • Jenfordy-

I used nothing but a stick to pee on and acupuncture. I was 42 1/2 when I got pregnant and I got pregnant right away. Must have just been luck. I did straight IUI back to back days. I am blessed with a son even if he came wicked early he is amazing. I bought 6 vials used 3 and have 3 left, not sure if I will do this again. I would love for Hunter to have a sibling but with how sick I have been not sure I want to.
  • just iui? no meds??
  • Tomigrl yep just iui back to back days. I watched my cervical mucus and LG Surge. When I was getting close to ovulation I tested several times a day. Since the first pee in the AM is not the best to check the LG Surge. Why what are you doing?
  • I am doing clomid, progesterone and HCG trigger shot, in a couple weeks, by my fertility doc. They may do double insemination if the ultrasound looks good. That's great that you got pregnant so easily. :)
  • Tomigrl I was in shock when it happened as I had tested 2 times before that week and I was not pregnant. Peed on a stick the day before AF was to come and I was like Holy S*** Batman. That is what I texted my sister in law. She called and said are you pregnant and I said yep. She was the only one who knew. I kept it quiet. Easier that way. I was excited cause I was a bit depressed on the 2 negative ones earlier in the week. All the symptoms that I had were the same as AF except I got motion sickness on a rocking chair. That was the only difference that I noticed. So never go by the symptoms, wait until you test or go to the doc. Good luck.
  • My progesterone levels were low so I did one round of Clomid. Went in and the dr saw 2 fat follicles, 2 days later I was ready for the IUI. I did one IUI and only used 1 vial. I'm 34, don't know if that made a difference. 2 weeks later I got a positive home preg test. Turned positive within 30 seconds.

I was ignoring the symptoms I had, I thought I wanted it so bad that it was all in my head.

    Good luck Tomigrl!!!!!
  • Congratulations on your pregnancy! We have the same donor, so hoping to have the same luck (except maybe just one, not enough luck for twins!) If you don't mind, can you tell me how many tries it took? And did you do ICI or IUI? We've tried several times without success, so looking for a little bright side. It's good to hear that there have been successful pregnancies. Congratulations again!
  • Awesome! I hope it works for you soon. I'd love to connect with you, IDK if you're interested in meeting siblings, but I definitely am.

It took me one try with one vial. Did IUI.

You can email me if you'd like m_prestwood@yahoo.com
  • Wow what amazing news!!! I just had my first IUI today with Donor 12742 - my fingers and toes are crossed for a fast 2WW with good news at the end of it. I am worried about the sperm count though - any insight is appreciated. My RE said the count was 13 million. Is that good? Everything I see online says minimum 20 million. So just looking for info. Thanks again and congratulations!!!!
  • I'm not sure what good numbers are. The count on my vial for 22 million.

I'm praying for you to have good news!!!

Email me if you'd like m_prestwood@yahoo.com
  • thats so great melissa, I am nervous, I chose my donor last night and the insemination is coming up fast. I am really nervous for twins, it seems as a lot of people on here are pregnant with twins!! :)
