  • Hi everyone,

I have been really bloated the last two days. I don't get bloated even when the red monster comes along.

Hi Coley, I am excited to hear another possible pregnancy in the works.

That would be fabulous 4 BDAYS April, right!

Feel free to email me. I have enjoyed keeping in contact with everyone:)

BTW-->20 million with 50% motility. Just sharing

  • Looks like I got my AF :( but we can't be 100% sure until my blood pregnancy test Thursday morning. If it is indeed a big fat neg., there is always next month.

This 2WW has been a complete emotional roller coaster. Im sure we all feel the same. How is everyone else doing?
  • I got my AF too:( I should O around Aug 7-9th. I might try clomid I am going to ask my doctor. I'm not getting any younger damn it. lol
  • HI All,

Started my period this morning. Also, looks like our donor is running out of vials. I just ordered his last ICI. May do an IUI next month. Really disappointed, as I'm sure you all were.

Yes, would love to keep in contact. I'm sure we are all learning how to regulate our emotions during this season. So hard to stay hopeful and be simultaneously disappointed! At least it has been for me.

    Keeping the faith,
    Angela
  • Hey everybody...

So I had my beta on Monday and it was negative :( The reason I had it done is because I had horrible cramping and then huge clots like I've never had before. I'm guessing it wasn't my period since it only lasted a day...not sure if it was a chemical pregnancy or what. Not being pregnant was pretty devastating as I'm sure it was for all of you. It was an all around crappy week...my mom just got diagnosed with cancer last week too. :((((

If that was my period, then I have to wait until my next cycle to try again because it would be unclear what cycle day I'm on. Fingers crossed I will get my actual period soon.

We all need to stay positive!! This will happen for us! Remember it takes an average of 3 cycles for women to get pregnant. Lets stay in touch!!

Prayers and baby dust to us all!! Big hugs to you ladies too!!

    Jennie
  • Good luck to everyone on this round!

wishing for BFP's for all :)

  • A little helpful information to share and keep our hopes up -

    http://fertility.choicemoms.org/about_success_rates/15

We just did our second cycle IUI this morning - Donor 13403 had 15.5M sperm at 90% motility post thaw and wash, or 14M Total Motility Count, just like last month. We timed ovulation with Ovidrel this month, once we had a follicle big enough (18-19mm) on the ultrasound and after checking hormonal bloodwork. By administering the Ovidrel at 9PM Monday evening after confirming follicle size, we were able to have the IUI this morning around 7AM, right within the 34-40hr window when ovulation should be triggered.

Now we're just sitting back and letting G-d do her thing for the 2WW. It's hard not to get excited again, but we're trying to think of it as not pregnant until BFP proves otherwise.

Let us know how you're doing - we'll be on the lookout for your updates!

    All Our Best,

    Nicole (& wife)
  • I will have my second IUI tomorrow:) I had not seen any more posts until today. Something was wrong with the web site!

I will let you know about sperm motility and such. I was given a tip when to test for ovulation. Most of the OPK say to test in the morning but I was told my someone who is currently 18weeks to test both morning and afternoon. I am glad I did. No ovulation this morning but around 3pm I got a happy face!

Good luck Nicole and Wife! My partner and I am couldn't be more excited to know we have family with us on this journey.

Best of luck to everyone I hope to see some posts soon.

  • I just did my first (and only) IUI about an hour ago. Did it at home. My friend, who's a midwife, came over, we let the sperm thaw while we drank our coffee, and then she did it. This is my first try with clomid as well. No ultrasounds or triggers, so we'll see. Got first smiley face with OPK yesterday morning. Best to all of us!! I have a blog about this journey if anyone is interested: www.bambinotime.com
  • Any updates on 13403 pregnancies?
  • Hi Cheese -

Donor 13403 has 5 or more reported pregnancies. It's still too soon for reported births.

    Regards,

    Nicole

  • Hi Cryo-admin,

Of the 5 reported pregnancies with Donor 13403, how many are still healthy pregnancies, ie. not a chemical pregnancy or reported miscarriage?

Trying to stay hopeful after a chemical pregnancy last cycle....

    Thank you.
  • Hi Coley -

I'm so sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. Please try to remain positive. On average, it can take 3-4 IUI cycles, and while we wish that it happens on the first try, the reality is that it can take several IUIs.

Unfortunately, part of this process also includes losses and an estimated 20% of all pregnancies (natural or artificial insemination) end in miscarriage- often times before the woman realizes that she is pregnant.

While we do not provide a specific number of losses, the number of losses a donor has, is no more an indication of your possible results than the number of successful pregnancies he has. Every CCB donor is equally capable of contributing to a pregnancy, as well as suffering a loss. A specific donor will not change your odds in either direction.

Although losses are a natural part of the journey, we understand that they can be very difficult experiences. We have additional information on our website in case it is of help to you:
    http://www.cryobank.com/Services/Genetic-Counseling/Genetics-FAQs/#answerMiscarriage

Also, please be reassured that our genetic counselors document all reports of medical issues in pregnancies and offspring from our donors and investigate any issues of concern if they were to occur. Our genetic counselors are available by phone, in case you have any specific concerns that you would like to speak to them about.
    http://www.cryobank.com/Services/Genetic-Counseling/Genetics-FAQs/#answerMedicalInfo

We have a number of clients that have experienced chemical pregnancies and/or miscarriages that later have given birth to healthy babies. So please try to remain hopeful and know that we are sending lots of baby dust your way.

    Regards,

    Nicole

  • I'm on 12 dpiui and took a home test. There was a dark control line and a faint other line. Technically this means I am preggers! But last time, I had a chemical pregnancy. My HCG level decreased then returned to zero. My question is this: does a faint second line mean a low HCG level? I was expecting the line to equal the control and the fact that it isn't has me concerned that this is a second chemical pregnancy. Anyone have info about this?
