12699 & 13403 Reported Pregnancies

Hi-

Can you tell me how many reported pregnancies/live births each these donors has had. I am interested in ordering either of them.

Thanks!

  • Hi Lucky -

Donor 12699 has 5 or more reported pregnancies and Donor 13403 has less than 5 reported pregnancies.

We don't give out birth report numbers due to low reporting from clients, but we do have birth reports for Donor 12699. (It's too soon for any births from 13403.)

I'm not sure if you are requesting these stats to make your final decision, but please keep in mind that the number of reported pregnancies is usually linked to the amount of time the donor has been available and/or how popular his characteristics are.

Donor 12699 first became available October 2011, while Donor 13403 has been available for less than 3 months.

  • Thank you for this info.

I was curious because several weeks ago 13403 had no reported pregnancies and now his profile indicates that he does. I'm not clear then how this can be if he just became available 3 months ago? Are you able to advise on this?

I mostly wanted to know if it was possible to find out if any babies born using these donors (or specifically 12699) were reported to be healthy.
  • Hi Lucky -

You're welcome. It's possible that someone using Donor 13403 became pregnant on their first insemination or IVF procedure, and reported their positive pregnancy result to us within the past week or so.

In regard to birth reports, our genetic counselors document all reports of medical issues in offspring from our donors and investigate any issues of concern if they were to occur. Please see our website here for additional information: http://www.cryobank.com/Services/Genetic-Counseling/Genetics-FAQs/#answerMedicalInfo

If you have additional questions, you can also speak with one of our genetic counselors at 877-743-6384.

  • Lucky 213 -

I bought vials of #13403 and will be having my first IUI with this donor this coming week. Praying everything goes well and I end up with a BFP!! Would love to keep in touch!! :)) Good luck and lots of baby dust!!
  • Hi dragonflinurse,

I am also considering 13403. I will make my final choice by tomorrow. Good luck and many blessings. I would love to hear how everything goes.
  • Hey starspells!

This is so exciting!! Keep me posted...prayers, luck and lots of baby dust to you!!!
  • Hi Dragonflinurse and Starspells-

I went with 12699 in the end. 1st IUI tomorrow although the dr isn't so hopeful since my FSH was high. However I have 3 perfect follicles so let's hope for the best!

Wishing you both lots of luck with 13403 and keep me posted!
  • Lucky - stay positive!!! I will be praying for you! I looked up your donor and boy what a cutie!! Great choice! :) I thought I would have had my IUI by now but the timing was off because I went on vacation last week. I just got back home today, so when my cycle starts (any day now), I will be able to start Clomid again and get this going.

    Good luck!! Keep me posted!!

Baby dust to all of us!!

    Jennie :)
  • Thank you! The IUI went well. My uterine lining was the perfect thickness and layered which they say they look for. My estrogen rose just as they would want to see for the follicle size and number and timing. I spent the whole day resting and thinking positive thoughts and now I know I'm Definitely ovulating since I always feel it when I do. Hopefully everyone is getting along!

You're on the path...any day and you'll be on your way too :)
  • Lucky - how is everything going? How is your 2WW? I'm still waiting for AF so I can get going again. It's the weirdest thing...my cycle is usually 19-21 days but I'm at cd29! I'm wondering if maybe Clomid makes cycles longer. Any thoughts?
  • HI dragonflinurse and lucky213,

I did choose 13403, but my timing was off as well. Im on my 13th day of my cycle and hoping to do my first IUI on day 15-17. Keep your fingers crossed!

    Good luck everyone!
  • Starspells!! I'm so excited!! I'm on cd13 also! I had U/S yesterday, but my follies weren't quite big enough. 12, 13 & 15mm. I go back in the morning for another U/S and hopefully they will be big enough, I can trigger tomorrow night and then IUI Wednesday! It's crazy to think we are almost exact same cycle with the same donor!!! How exciting! Have you been any meds? Are you using a trigger shot? Sorry for the 20 ?...

Lots of prayers and sticky baby dust to us all!!!

    Jennie :)
  • Starspells & Dragonflinurse - I'm thrilled you're using donor 13403! I'm currently 15.5 weeks pregnant using the same donor.. cheers to siblings! All chromosomal tests have come back negative and baby is doing very well. Wishing you both the best of luck this month - please keep me updated on your progress! Also feel free to reach out to me with any questions you might have :-)
  • Dec13 - how exciting!!! Congrats on your pregnancy!! I had a follie check this am and everything looks good! I'm going to trigger tonight and will have my IUI on Wednesday at 9am. Can't wait!!

Do you mind me asking a few questions? How many IUIs did it take? Were you on any fertility medications? Are you doing this on your own also?

I'm really praying this IUI is successful. I'm so ready to be a mama :) I have a lot of faith, which helps me stay positive throughout this process.

Prayers and sticky baby dust to us all (even though you already have a green-eyed, dimpled little bean!)!!!

    Jennie
  • Hi Jennie - I had four previous IUIs with a different donor (no fertility meds) then I switched to donor 13403 and took clomid for my 5th IUI and was successful. I also had a tubogram prior to the procedure to test for any blockages or scar tissue, so the "flushing" of the tubes could've also contributed to the pregnancy. I'll never know if it was the clomid, the new donor, the tubogram, or a combination of all three that did the trick - I'm just happy that it finally took!

By the way, the tubogram was a miserable experience - lots of bleeding and I almost passed out three times. If I had it to do over again, I would take the clomid for at least one cycle before getting the tubogram. Hopefully this advice spares you of any unnecessary misery!

Good luck tomorrow morning!!! I will be praying for you :-)
  • Dec13 - thanks for the prayers!! I am trying to jut have faith and stay positive throughout my TTC journey. Are you talking about an HSG?...where they flush out your Fallopian tubes with dye by radiologist? I had one last January and it was awful!! Pretty painful!

I had IUI last year with Clomid but no trigger that was unsuccessful. Last month I took Clomid but I went on vacation and timing was off so I had to skip IUI. I'm really hoping this one is successful and I get a BFP!!

Where do you live by the way?

    Jennie
  • Yes - HSG, terrible! I live on the East Coast. Sorry, vague.. I'll give you alot more detail if there's a way to take the conversation off line?
  • Dec13baby - no worries! If you ever feel inclined, feel free to email me at dragonflinurse@gmail.com. Can't wait for tomorrow!! I'm hoping 13403 works for me like he did for you!! How did his numbers look? Motility? Etc?
  • Dec13baby and Dragonflinurse,

I am so excited I just had my first IUI with 13403 today. Dec13 that is so fabulous that you are having a little miracle. Yay to siblings!

dragonflinurse I hope all goes well on Wed. we basically would be one day off from each other. I'm not on any type of fertility drugs but I might do that if this does not take this month. I want to increase my chances.

This is so great that we can all share our experiences. I look forward to more updates from everyone.

    God Bless!
  • I had my IUI this morning!!! Sperm count was 12 million with 50% motility. Exciting!!!! I'm officially in the 2WW!!

Baby dust and prayers!!! Yay to siblings!! (I like that)

    Jennie :)
  • I just used 13403 and will know next week if I'm preggers! How can I stay in touch with those of you that used this same donor?? I will report back if I get a BFP. I'd love to know my baby's siblings, if indeed it takes ... and I think it will!
  • I'd love to stay in touch with anyone that used donor 13403. i'll know if i'm preggers with this donor's sperm next week. please email me at anghart29@gmail.com if you'd like. i'd love to be in touch with potential baby's half/siblings!! thanks!
  • Welcome Angela! I'm so glad you emailed me! Fingers crossed that we get our BFP and have the same due date!!! I will add you to my prayers! :)

    Jennie
  • I can be reached at sciencebutterfly@yahoo.com. I'm on day 9 of my 2WW. I'm so silly I didn't know there was a page 2! I have been waiting to see if Jennie had done her IUI.

Any advice on what day to test?

    Rosa:)
  • Hey Rosa! I just sent you an email! Fingers crossed that we get our BFP soon!!!! This 2WW is dragging.......I think I had some implantation spotting & cramping yesterday! Praying it was anyway!! I think I will probably start testing Saturday or Sunday...I'm not very patient. I'm also not one of those people that is going to get all down if it's negative with the early testing. I am realistic and know that it might take a bit longer to show up. Anyway...good luck and keep us posted!!!!

Prayers and baby dust to us!!!!

    Jennie
  • Hi Everyone!

I had my first IUI with 13403 on july 11th. No fertility issues. Had 14.1 million spermies at 50% motility. Not bad. All I need is one! My wife and I are planning on being pregnant using the same donor about a year and a half apart.

This 2WW is killing me!! I will have my pregnancy test July 26th. I honestly feel that I am pregnant. Breasts are tender, light cramping on the left side where the follicle dropped. Maybe its wishful thinking.

Dragon- we are calling it a bean, too!!! So far, I am seeing we have 4 of us using 13403. I can't wait to hear updates from everyone!

    Good luck, everyone!
  • Welcome Coley! I wish you and your wife lots of luck on that sticky little bean!!! I had my first IUI on 7/10. I'm actually having a crappy day....I have been spotting for a few days (not normal for me) now and today it has gotten heavier and is starting to look a bit like AF (yet lighter). I've had cramping on and off every day since IUI but today they seemed a bit stronger at times. Very frustrating!! I've been so positive and have so much faith....it's easy to get your hopes up.

My batch was 12 million at 50% motility. I used Clomid 50mg cd3-7 and Ovidrel trigger shot 36 hrs before IUI. Did you use any fertility meds? Was this your first IUI? You are the fifth in the group of donor 13403! 4 of us did IUIs last week and one is about 16 weeks pregnant with 13403!! :) It will be awesome when we all get our BFPs and hopefully stay in touch!!! Yay siblings!!! Anyway...good luck and keep us posted!

    Prayers and sticky baby dust!!!

    Jennie :)
  • Hi Jennie, this was my first IUI...only 1 vial used, too, as my wife and I both had our HSGs and didn't expect to have any fertility issues...but we're in our early thirties so we know our chances aren't getting any better and we're crossing our fingers on this one until we find out on 7/26.

My wife corrected me that we had a TMC of 14.1M, ie. 28.2M count at 50% motility post-thaw (ICI) then washed by the fertility center. Since we didn't expect difficulty we opted to try without clomid first, although we DID use a trigger shot - the morning after OPK showed a positive surge we went in for the ultrasound and Ovidrel (HCG) shot, at which point they also did the IUI (although in retrospect, we should have insisted we come back later in the day for the IUI as I swear I ovulated that evening, more than 12 hours later...and you know what they say about thawed and washed sperm...).

I hope we all get our big fat positives this week! Definitely open to half-sibling contact...my wife and I were joking about a meetup group, since we saw someone mention the east coast and we're in the tri-state area. Good luck and lots of sticky baby dust to the group!

    Coley =)
  • Hi All - I did three ICI's in a row And in the paperwork that came with the sperm said the donor had 33% motility. Why is mine less then all of yours? Any ideas?

Today was day 10 post Ovulation and I did my first pregnancy test. I got a BFN, unfortunately. I should start my period on Friday and will take another pregnancy test then.

    Good luck to us all!!
  • BTW - it's crazy that four of us inseminated on the same week!!! Half siblings with the same birthdays. Wow!
