  • Freckley - no worries! You will just be a week behind. You got a plan and this is still our month!!!
  • My fingers and toes are crossed for you on Saturday Michelle!!! Let me know how your sample is on Saturday.
  • Sampson, how did your ultrasound go?

    Sunshine, how you feeling girl?

Michelle, good luck tomorrow!! Baby dust coming your way!!
  • Just checking to see how everyone is doing today.

I'm doing well. Tired, bloated, and my boobs are getting sore. I am enjoying every minute of it and grateful for every hormonally induced symptom as I hope it means a healthy and viable pregnancy. It's interesting how the anxiety shifts. Feeling very blessed.

Michelle and Freckley you are just steps behind. Keep us posted.

Also freckley if you aren't getting a good response with clomd talk to your doctor about letrozole. I heard that some who don't respond well to clomid do to letrozole. My doctor put me on it and at the highest dose right from the start.
  • sunshine-
I just started the letrozole (femara) last night!! woohoo I am really excited about it. I have heard the same about the not responding to one and responding really well to the other! so i am very optimistic. FX for next week :)
  • Hi Ladies...how is everyone feeling?

I had my IUI today and I'm confused on my numbers. After thaw it was 24mil and 37% mobility. The RE (I saw a partner today not my normal one since it was Sat) said looked good. I was reading online and saw several posts that say you need at least 50% mobility. Any insights here? Sunshinegal & Sampson, do you remember where you were at?

I'm trying not to get discouraged, but hope it is ok.
  • You had 34 million motile sperm after thaw?? I only had 6.5 million total motile with 54% motility I think but the number the use to rate how good of swimmers they are was the highest it could be. How are you feeling about this? Remember you only need one!!
  • the motility seems a bit low, what was your motile sperm count it should be near the 10mil range. I think my last one from him was 34mil with 56% motility and 9.5 motile sperm.
I would contact them and tell them about the low motility, I am sure if this does not result in a pregnancy you should get refunded because that is low. But it only takes one michelle! you got this!! its our month!
  • Thanks ladies! If I use 24m x 37% I get 8.8. Maybe that is the total motility. I'm going to go over it with my normal RE at my next appt in two weeks and if it falls under the guarantee we will contact Ccb. Will see what she thinks to make sure I'm factoring everything in.. And you are both right, it only takes one so ill remain hopeful and maybe none of this will matter :)
  • Michelle I pretty much assumed my last IUI was not going to take since I had a lower count and it worked! It does just take ONE.. keep that in mind :)

I was trying to get on the site a few days and it would not let me on... I had my US on Wednesday and everything looked great. Measuring 6 weeks and a small flicker for the heart.
I go to my OBGYN on the 7th and I will be closer to 8 weeks at that point.
  • That's so exciting Sampson! Can't wait to hear how your adapt on the 7th goes!

Freckley - do you go in this week for a check? Keep us posted...hope you have some good follies!
  • Michelle- Yes I go in Friday, I start Injections again tomorrow night. I really like femara so far, I am not having nearly the side effects I did on clomid, and I feel like things are happening, my ovaries are aching. So I am hoping this is a good sign. My dr did send in the form to CCB because my last count was below their guarantee so I will get a free vial which is nice. How are you feeling?

Hope everyone is doing well. Sampson so exciting you got to see your little bean and the heart beat!

Sunshine when do you go in? I am excited to hear about yours!
  • I'm doing well. My first ultrasound isn't until next week Friday. I'm excited but also still nervous and praying for a healthy pregnancy.

How are all of you doing?
  • Where did everyone go? Ive been checking the page but no new activity for a few days.. How is everyone doing?
I had my 7 week ultrasound on Thursday and everything was fine. I did mention to the doctor that someone else had used this donor and had many issues resulting in losing the baby. He said that he is going to have me do every test possible minus the amnio so we know early enough if their is an issue. He seems to think by what I told him that maybe the other child had trisomy 13. He also assured me that these things can just happen and not be genetically related to either egg or sperm.
  • I have my ultrasound this week. Do we know if there have been live healthy babies born from this donor? While I am concerned about some of the issues I wonder if that other person had any genetic testing done on her end. Please keep us posted if you have any issues.
  • I dont know of any live births as of yet. I believe that the first group of pregnancies would be in about 27-30 week range of pregnancy. The woman that lost her child said that her doctor was going to do genetic testing but I never heard back from her. I do know that she was advised not use the same donor again from her doctor.
Sunshine if you are worried or interested you might want to check into doing the extensive testing offered. I go in at 10 weeks for a blood draw. They test for a bunch of things and can even determine gender. Week 11 I will have a very extensive UltraSound done. 13 weeks will be another scan. The doctor said by 18 weeks I should know if the baby has any issues.
He also seems to think that the reason the other mom got to 20 weeks before noticing an issue is because many places dont do scans until 20 weeks. Things that may have been detected earlier were probably missed because of this. Just let the doctor know your concerns and they should be able to provide you with the care and testing you would like to have done :)
  • Well that certainly makes me nervous. If it was trisomy 13 I've read that 88% is from maternal origin and only 12% paternal. I'm surprised that this other person wouldn't have been having ultrasounds before 20 weeks. I'm going to do my best not to stress about it and see what happens. When I get releases to my ob I'll tell her more. The truth is regardless of outcome I will carry this baby.
  • Sunshine.. if you want to send me an email I can pass on the specific information to you so you can share it with your doctor. sampsondunn@gmail.com
If you want we can chat over email since Im sure the Admin might remove this due to the fact that they dont want people to get upset and worried.
  • I emailed you. Thanks
  • Sampson - I'm excited for you everything looked good at your ultrasound!

Sunshinegal - hope everything checks out good for you this week!

Freckles - how did your appointment go Fri? Did the new meds get you some good news?

I'm 8dpiui. Neg this morning. Hoping for some good news later this week :)
  • So how are you all doing??!!

Oct turned out to not be my month :(. I have to decide if i do a third iui or go to ivf for my next cycle. Hoping i get a good outcome soon!
  • So sorry Michelle... Maybe give the IUI one more try! 3rd time seemed to be a charm for me!
I did IVF a few years ago and had a little girl the first shot! Mind you the testing involved and the medication is a long and tedious process. Not to mention the cost if you dont have insurance that covers fertility treatments. If you do decide on IVF let me know.. I ordered all of my medication from Europe and saved THOUSANDS!
  • Hey I just wanted to check to see how everyone was doing. I went for my first ultrasound and all is well. Baby is measuring 6 wks 4 days and I was able to see the heartbeat. So excited!

Hope you are all doing well!
  • Thanks Sampson. I decided to do ivf. I'm glad to hear you had success that way! I'm lucky my insurance covers it and all meds. I had all the testing done up front before my iui, so seems like that is the best path for me. How are you feeling?

Thats excellent news sunshine! Must put you more at ease :)

    Freckley - how are you?

Keep me posted ladies...ill let ya know results of next month :)
