I want to have some support from you all who are around the same times as me. I had my first round of inseminations on Jan 18th & 19th. The following week my progesterone levels were good. Unfortunately, today, the day before my pregnancy test was scheduled, I got my period. I am 41 years old, and praying this works. I will be trying again in about 9 -10 days - providing I ovulate....
@Pattymuch- I am so sorry to hear but try and stay hopeful it will all work out. The good things is that you get to try again soon. That's the only thing that is goo about 2ww, that if you do get your period you get to try again soon after.
@Dodey and Chatty- How are you guys doing ?
@Baia - Have you made an appt to speak to your doctor about your last cycle. Is this your first IUI ?
Today is day 9 post IUI, a slight headache and my temp is high. But I don't even know how to deal with that information, it could be a number of things like a sinus cold or allergies. I read that the trigger shot makes you feel sick but I don't feel sick at all.I did feel heavy down there like 2 days after but that feeling is gone.
I have a question regarding this implantation bleeding. Does this happen to all women ?

Such a sad day! Today was my day 16 post IUI and the day before my appointment to take the pregnancy test at my doctor's office. I was so happy and waited for tomorrow. But after amazing lunch with my friend I realized I am bleeding. After 15 days of abdomen pressure, bloating,cramps, UTI, and a busy week at work, all my dreams on my october baby are gone. Even after a chat with one of the nurses I still feel like I did something wrong or maybe the whole protocol went wrong. So back to square one and starting all over. I don't know why I feel like I failed. I guess I really wanted to be pregnant!
Hi ladies, listen we are all in this together. Every single one of us. We all need to stay positive.I will be having my 2nd iui in a few weeks. Yeah! DRA- it's nothing you did. It is going to work you just need to stay as positive as you can. I promise you! P.s. We are getting slammed with SNOW over here in Massachusetts. Ugg!! Baby dust all over the place!
So Sorry to hear the news DrA, Dont beat yourself up u did nothing wrong u have to stay positive. I too wanted so bad to be pregnant but with 2 days left to test I too got my period at lunch yesterday. I was really upset but then had to say to myself it will happen next time thats all. Sorry Dodey..do you think you will try again next month. What # attempt was it ? I am 12 days dpo and I tested this morning(not my first pee of the day). My boobs were getting the best of me !! still are aching me !! Test was negative ,but its still early and period is not due til Saturday !! so there is a small glimmer of hope still !! Cheer up ladies !!!
So I gave in.. I bought a pregnancy test and got a Negative. I am 10 days from the IUI and I am suppose to get my period on Monday. So we will see, I have cramps and they feel like period cramps. I have hope maybe I still am but all in all...I am looking forward to trying again in February if I am not.
Ok so like I said this morning I tested 12 post IUI, it showed negative. Few minutes later..maybe ten mins I looked at it again it had a faint line. (like the ones you see on baby center) I googled faint line and mine looked like theirs. So a couple hours later I did it again ,but I had a lot of coffee and peed a few times before that in a short span of time. So the 2nd one was neg and then minutes later it had a faint faint line. I am going crazy. I am going to wait til tomorrow morning with my first urine of the day. Sorry for being a spaz ,but I know you ladies are or have gone throught this too. My aching boobs are really what is deiffernt to me. The pain is not a noraml I am getting my period pain !?! Fingers crossed!!
Chatty, you must be going NUTS! They say you should wait for the first pee of the day. But if you got a faint line it sounds like you may just be PREGO!! I am crossing my fingers for you. I can't wait for tomorrow mornings post from you with a BFP!! Good Luck!

Hey Ladies, so i woke up at 6 am because i could not sleep! I got the lightest faintist(not sure if thats a word) line. I had alot of cramping last night and some today as well. I just dont know what to think?? The line yesterday was darker? I will just test again in the morning or wait to see if my period shows up?? There should be no line what so ever..so I am not totally ruling a positive out yet??
UPDATE !...so my 2ww wait is 2weeks and then some!!! Still have not gotten my period!! Had some faint frer + and negative results on other test. I am about to lose my mind! Has anyone else experienced this? My body is playing tricks on me !!?? I am on dpo 18 17 post iui?? 3 days late?
Ok...so the wait it over. My period came today!! Three days late ...so weird !! Talk about messing with my mind !! So I will attempt again in May!! Thanks for all your good thoughts ladies !!
Chatty-teially, I'm so sorry! Try and stay positive it's going to happen. I know it's so hard but we all have to try and stay positive. We are going to be going in for our 2nd iui I think either Sunday or Monday. I usually ovulate on day 17. So fingers crossed it works this time. My wife surprised me with a Valentine's weekend getaway. So excited for that. So hopefully I will be nice and relaxed. Well good luck to all of you. Baia10- I thought I was the only one that O'd that late!! I will try again in May because Feb/March is not a good time for me to conceive because of work. I and a hairstylist and being on maternity leave at the holidays is just not good. So I will settle for a Vday/ Shamrock baby!! lol... YOur weekend away sounds great !! Just wanted to say good luck to all of you who are trying! That was me a few months ago. It was hard to keep the faith, but it worked on the third try and now I am 13 weeks pregnant!!! I could hardly believe it. For those of you wondering if the faint line can actually be the real deal, it was with me..on the third try I got a *really* faint line in the morning at 14dpo, then confirmed with CB digital that evening and a blood test a few days later.
I did two rounds of Clomid and then switched to Femara, with a trigger shot for all three months. My symptoms were breast tenderness, headaches, fatigue and moodiness (according to my partner!). I also had a feeling of extreme fullness in my abdomen, sort of like when you eat too much and feel bloated, but lower and more heavy.
I know how hard the wait is. Hang in there and good luck to all of you - don't lose hope!!!
Hi Dodey that is great on the third time!! I hope it doesn't too long for me !! I did get a couple of faint lines and a questionable walmart one.on 12dpo...but negatives after that !! My mother is convinces it was a chemical pregnancy ?? I dont even want to think about it!!. I hope to have great news soon enough !! GL to all !!

Dodey- I am from 32yrs old from Boston. Gl on your IUI. So exciting, but also very emotionally draining. Do you have children already ? So if you ovulate day 17 typically, what is your luteal phase ? I have not gone that far to figure that out, but i think it plays a big role on implantation ?? I could drive myself crazy with all this info ??
Hi Dodey, we are from Boston. We are so excited for this weekend. I should be going in for my iui on Monday. So it will be perfect timing after our relaxing weekend. So we will be on the 2ww together and going crazy. Ha ha. I'm sure we will be chatting during our two weeks. GL

Just a little history on me: I was with my partner for 10 yrs and always wanted children and she said she did too. At 7 yrs together we started this process and she at that point said she didnt want children that she had changed her mind. I chose to stay with her because I loved her but in August we broke up. I turned 40 in september and decided that I dont need to be with anyone to have children so Im on my Journey doing it on my own. Just hoping its not to late. But trying to stay positive.
Dodey, I think that is Awesome that that you are following your Dream. It's not to late. You are going to get Pregnant this Month with ME! I had my IUI Yesterday. They are starting me on Progesterone tonight. They said it will better my chances. Hey whatever works right? Do you have lots of support from your family?

It took two iui cycles and I was pregnant on the second. We have a Beautiful 17 month old baby boy. He is Amazing. We both said we only wanted 2 children so this is it. We want to Give Rocco and Brother or Sister.
