OMG a wilkins1! You got a BFP!! I'm so excited for you and your wife that I can't stand it! Are you jumping up and down?
What day piui did it turn positive? It was negative on day 10piui, right? Will your dr do blood test now? I think that's what mine will do after a bfp.
I broke down and did an HPT yesterday night, which was the night of day 10piui for me. It was negative--I'm hoping that just means the ovidrel shot is out of my system. Now I'm going to wait another 2 days and test again on day 13. I don't want to see any more negatives unless it's really, really negative and I can move in to my next cycle.
Hey CJ, I broke down and decied to test on the 13 day because on the 12th day i could not take the suspense anymore. So that morning i took the 1st test and it was a bfp asap, then later that evening i took another test that was a different brand to compare cause i was so in shock, lol. Today is my 14th, so i took one more test this morning and got my 3rd bfp. My first US is the 23 of sept cause i will be on vaca. But i have blood work on monday to confirm. Keep me up dated on ur status, good luck!:)
Just had our first IUI done today! We r excited yet trying to remain calm knowing we have some days ahead of us to get thru...good luck to u all baby dust all the way around! Keep us posted!
my wife gets her first iui tomorrow. i have been anxious these last 10 days about a positive ovulation test! can't imagine what the first 2ww are going to be like. trying hard not to stress out my wife. any suggestions on how we can keep busy these next couple of weeks??
Hey Cj, sorry to hear about the bfn, but u have the correct attitude being ready to try for the next month, that was our attitude as well. Keep us posted:)
To aquio, for the 1st week in a half we just did normal routine things like work, movies etc... im not sure if there is anything u can do to make the time go faster unless u can make an impromtu vacation, lol the end of the 2nd week i was so anxious to take the test i could not sleep on the 11th and 12th day, but i would suggest not to take the test till at least the 13th day, cause implantation can take from 6-12 days.
Its day two of the 2ww for us...life is pretty normal, but we both wake up thinking the BIG question....are we pregnant? I'm with you dharmabum...I'm ever conscious of what I am putting into my body...trying to be normal but at the same time not getting too much of the caffeine, etc etc...heck I'm even leery of cleaning our home...lol good excuse tho...I think...don't want any chemicals to harm the little speck! All in all not too bad yet, but we are def. ready to have some finality to this part of it...I wish there was some magical little feeling...like a flutter, or a twinge...but I feel normal...anyway...ladies...take care and baby dust to all!
Thanks awilkins! IUI went smoothly this afternoon. Took wife to this delicious pizza place and then a visit to the salon for a mani and pedi. By the time we made it to dr office she was very relaxed. It has only been 6 hours and it is all I seem to be thinking about. Even trying to come up with reasons why I should call in to work for the next 2 weeks! LOL. This forum is great! Makes me feel a little less crazy. Good luck to you all!

I am on day 6 of my 2ww. This is my 4th IUI...I have been having cramping on and off all day today...Not sure what that means. I am trying not to let my mind wonder on every little pain or feeling, but it is really hard to ignore.
I'm hopeful that this is the time for you, SAMac! The 4th time's the charm!
My partner and I saw the RE again today to figure out why, despite numerous BFNs on the HPTs, I am not getting my period. Maybe something with the progesterone. And apparently clomid can lengthen the cycle. Very confusing.
At this point, I'm hoping for AF so that then we can move on to IUI#2. We're ready! And I had a "fertility massage" this evening that was lovely.

I just had my first IUI on 8/20/10- (last Friday) so I guess I'm on day 8 if you count the day of conception. Either way I test next Friday Sept 3rd and I'm near losing my mind.
I have had some crazy effects the last week I wanted to share to see if anyone else is sharing in these symptoms.
Day 2,3,and 4 I was nauseous which caught me by surprise because unless I have the flu I don't get nauseous ever. I know it's way too soon so I chalked it off to hormones from shots/clomid.
I have had really vivid dreams all week which is also unlike me!
On Tuesday of this week I started getting itchy all over. No rash or hives just itchy skin, especially my stomach and legs.
This morning I started having major cramps. I immediately wanted to cry because it feels like period cramps. I went the the bathroom at least a 1,000 times at work to check. I'm still having them right now with no spotting.
I know we'd be blessed to be pregnant the first shot, but I really want this so bad! (as do ALL of us =))
We had our IUIs done on the same day (August 20th). I have some of the same symptoms you do...The crazy dreams, the cramping (feels like I will start my period), I am a little tired, but I have chalked that up to going back to work after being off 3 months. I had a quick feeling of nausea day 3 and it went away.
Please keep me posted. Hopefully we will be sharing our BFP's the same day! :))))))

Erin, This is my 4th IUI. We used donor 11809. You aren't crazy. I think we all feel strange things and wonder what is going on and we are paying more attention to it. Hopefully this week goes by fast! Then "labor day" weekend we could all be celebrating BFP!
Oh my gosh I didn't even think of the coincidence =) "Labor day" my partner will love that.
We'll be going on vacation Friday afternoon to the Pismo Beach (in California) I'm hoping we'll have a BFP and I can breeze through the day!
Do you guys know, if I test positive Friday morning, and go to do the blood test that same day at the doctors, are they able to tell you right away if you're preggo or do they have to wait? I want to know before I go meet our family at the coast. I won't be able to hide it in front of the family on our vacation, we're big margarita drinkers and my mother will be so baffled as to why I'm not drinking. =)
Dharma: you should wait! If you did IUI on the 20th it's too early. Don't disappoint yourself. If you have to test early do it Wed/Thurs. It's taking everything in me not to test too so I know how you're feeling.
My cramps are terrible today. Was out shopping all day and thought for sure I had started. It's still possible but I'm praying I won't.
Dreams are so vivid it's crazy. I'm wiped out too, I just keep taking naps.

Hey ladies, just wanted to update u guys and hopefully give u a little piece of mind. I had my first iui done on the 6 th of august and took 5 hpt test that all came back positive, then i went to the doctors and had a blood test 48 hrs apart and it confirmed that i am pregnant. I wanted to tell u guys what i felt and continuing to feel up to today. Four days before the hpt i had severe cramping like af was coming, and i also had a pain on the side of my stomach just by being touched. The pain is still there and i still have had cramping, the cramping feels like af is still coming. It has now subsided with me being 6 days passed my missed period but they were strong up untill the 4th day past missed period. My 1st us is not till the 23rd but my doctor advise me to come in on the 7th before i leave for vaca to make sure the baby is properly placed in my uterus. I have been reading several books and they all say that cramping is a very common symptom in early pregnancy, so ladies do rule out all hope yet. Cramping does not mean that ur not pregnant:) i will keep u guys posted. And sending baby dust to all.......
Okay... So I tested this morning after two weeks of this emotional rollercoaster and I am not pregnant. I took two different tests and they were quick to read "not pregnant".
I am really sad and confused but not discouraged yet because I know we have many tries before I'm burnt out. I was just hoping for some exciting news to tell my folks this weekend at the beach. With my luck I'll start aunt flo while I'm relaxing on the sand.
Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of you. This Is another reminder of who is really in charge :)

It is now day 11 and I talked my wife into buying one of those early response tests. It read negative. =( I know it is still too early for it to be 100% accurate, but I have little hope now. This will be our first cycle and our Dr. told us that there was only a 20% chance of pregnancy this go round. She has been feeling cramps since the day the IUI took place, and eating like nobody's business (hence the no-drinking). Only 3 more days to go. Wish us luck! And good luck to all of you!!
Thanks ErinK! We have taken 2 more tests since then. Negative. I'm not sure why we insist on taking these early when they are not 100% accurate and the WHAT IF factor kills you! Dr. said to take 2 weeks after IUI which would be tomorrow. Keep pulling out the calendar and counting cycle days thinking, "did I mis count cycle days?, was the initial ovulation test negative and we did IUI too soon?, did we wait long enough to get positive result on pregnancy test? Maybe I should go dig it out of the trash to double check (and I do)." Losing my mind. Will keep you all updated! Baby dust to all!
Took test today. BFN. =( No AF as of yet. But I'm sure it's coming any minute. Didn't think I would take it so hard. My wife seems to be handling it much better than myself. Still part of me that has a little hope. Not sure if I'm just setting myself up for another disappointment. Is it normal to have a BFN with no visit from AF?
I had BFN and then very light, brownish bleeding for 4 days....then I got AF. Regular cycle is 28 days; was 33 before AF arrived. I guess due to clomid.
But that doesn't mean anything for you. I hope you have had no AF and a BFP by now!
My wife and I just did 2nd IUI today...so now beginning the 2nd 2ww wait. But not feeling so optimistic as I did last time.
Thanks cj! Good luck to you! AF came yesterday.:-( ugh. A whole week late! Had blood test done the day before too, just to make sure the bfn was true. Was def hard to swallow, but round 2 is on its way!!
We are on day 3 of our 2nd 2ww....its a little different this time around...we are somewhat able to go thru the day without constantly thinking...are we pregnant? It was hard to get that first AF...very emotional...so we are trying not to get so worked up this time around....we shall see.

It IS still too early. There is still a very good chance of pregnancy.
The cramps most likely were implantation. Don't give up hope yet!
