Donor 19177 retired

Hi there,

We purchased the suggested amount of vials for 1 pregnancy and had them shipped to our cryobank. We’re in the process of everything and recently received an email saying our donor has now retired! We were hoping to purchase a few more the next time there were any available to save for a 2nd. The notification on the donors bio still says that more are expected even though we received an email of the donor being retired. I’ve seen different notifications on retired donors profiles stating you are not expecting to get more in the future (which isn’t the case for this donor even though we were told they’ve retired). Is the only way to potentially find unused vials is posting on forums etc. or can CCB contact those with unused vials in storage to see if they are still planning to use them for example? Just wondering our options at this point since we can’t sell anything back given it’s been shipped to our cryobank/fertility clinic!

    Hi @BMLG - Unfortunately, once a donor has completed our program and is sold out of vials there's not much we can do. That's why we created the Family Today & Family Tomorrow program which provides free storage so you can secure vials for multiple pregnancies and have the flexibility to do a vial exchange or vial buyback if your plans change: https://www.cryobank.com/services/additional-services/family-today---family-tomorrow/
