When donors give updates at 2, 5, 10, 15, and 20 years after retirement, do customers get an update?
Here in the Open Donor FAQs: https://cryobank.com/how-it-works/choosing-your-donor/open-donor-program/open-donor-faqs/
It states "All CCB Donors are contacted for updates 2, 5, 10, 15, and 20 years after retirement." Does this apply to Anonymous and ID Disclosure Donors?
Are customers, who reported pregnancy with a donor, contacted at 2, 5, 10, 15, and 20 years to provide the updated information?
Comments
I was also wondering if the contact for the purposes of updates applies to anonymous donors.
Following this as well. Would like to know if we are given updates. I have an open donor.
Hi All - Yes, we do reach out to all donors (not just open donors) for updates.
Feel free to contact us at 866-927-9622 and ask to speak with our Donor/Genetics staff for any donor updates.
@Chicago3 - We usually only contact you if we receive significant medical information that could be relevant to your child's health. You can read more about that here: https://cryobank.com/services/genetic-counseling/genetics-faqs/#answerMedicalInfo

@cryo-admin Can updates not related to health be provided? For example, a donor's current profile could be that he's in undergrad, but at his 5 year update he could be in grad school. Is that information that can be provided?
@Glida Yes, you are free to call us for donor updates.
