Anyone here have a partner who is trans?

My husband is FTM and I am cis. We are thinking about starting our journey towards having a child with me carrying in the fall. I wanted to hear about other peoples experience. We are living in California. I was curious if anyone knows after the child is born will I be able to put my husbands name on the birth certificate? Will he have to adopt? There is so much information I still need to figure out and I am getting a little overwhelmed

    Hi! I am nonbinary and my partner is trans and I have been TTC for 6 months so far. In NY State, yes, my partner would have to adopt our child and it's a pretty rigorous process involving lawyers. 😕 But we haven't gotten to that stage yet!
