Donor Contact

I have purchased several vials from CCB. And have to now purchase one more for IVF. I am ONLY considering open ID donors.

I have been researching other banks because of my concerns about family sizes and donor contact.

Can you please clarify the following (FYI other banks have clear statements on their websites):

1. If a child needs medicalhistory information for medical treatment, will CCB try to get in touch with the donor to get said info? What would be required?

2. When a child over the age of 18 requests info to contact their donor- is it true that you contact them to "update info" and do not notify them a child is looking to connect?

    Please keep in mind that we do not offer open ID donors. We do not release the donor's name or contact information to offspring.

    1. If our medical director indicates that it is necessary to obtain updated family medical history from the donor, then we contact the donor in order to try to obtain updated medical information.

    2. If an offspring requests contact when they turn 18 years of age, we reach out to the donor. We inform him that we have a request for contact.
