Donor 13596 - IVF

Hello - my wife and I are starting IVF this month and are considering donor 13596. We have had unsuccessful IUI's with 13179 and 13041. I am not sure that I want to use 13179 or 13041 after failed IUI's. The superstitious part of me believes that clearly it wasn't meant to be with those donors, so we should find someone new. Has anyone used 13596, and if not, are there any donor recommendations for IVF? Thanks!

    I know nothing personally on that donor but he looks like a great choice. I wanted to comment because I had the same philosophy as you. I tried a donor 3 times and it didn't work. Then I thought why am I so attached to this donor it's not like I know him? Maybe if I met him in real life I wouldn't even like him. So I decided to try someone new each time. 4th IUI a different donor. 5th IUI a different donor and it worked! I see you prefer Hispanic donors. My donor does not have the Latin look but he is part Mexican 13353.

    Oh wow!! Congratulations and thanks for the feedback. Do you know what your having yet? How far along are you? My wife prefers Latin / Spanish / Mexican donors, I prefer German donors (my wife is German, I'm Mexican/Greek). We have taken turns picking which donor to use. I feel like IVF is really going to work, we've done 4 IUI's and are ready for the next step.

    Not to push my donor on you but he is both Mexican and German. Intelligent and handsome. I know you didn't ask but 4 IUIs is really not many unless you have extenuating circumstances. I would try 6. That was my intent and I got pregnant on the 5th try.

    My subscription just ran-up last-night when we thought we had picked our final donor. I'm interested in your donor, do you have photos you wouldn't mind showing?

    I know four isn't a lot, but our specialist recommended doing IVF after four tries because of the decline in success after four.

    How far along are you in your pregnancy? How are you feeling? Did you use meds with your IUI's, or..?

    I am in my sixth week. I feel pretty good overall. I used injectables and a trigger. Clomid is too hostile to the uterus my dr says. I kept trying on clomid and it didn't work. I did acupuncture, a baby aspirin, and drank pineapple juice. I will email you the photos sometime today.

    I see that he has been successful with pregnancies. Does anyone have any pictures? We are done to 3 donors and he is one of them. Thanks.
