Clomid users

Hello,
I will be going in for my mid-cycle ultrasound on Saturday June 29th. My doctor informed me that if my body is over responding to the clomid we won't inseminate this cycle and will have to wait until next cycle. Has anyone that is using or used Clomid over responded to it and have to sit out a cycle?

    I was on 50mg of clomid last month and the follicles ended up being too big 27.2 and 32.1mm. I had to sit that one out. So this month we used 25mg of clomid. Had my 1st iui this past Saturday.

    Thank you for your information. I am starting 100mg of Clomid tonight. I just have a feeling that I am going to end up having to sit this one out and I hadn't read any posted about anyone else having to. I am sending lots of baby dust your way. Good luck to you. :)

    Is this your 1st round of clomid and if so, why is he starting you out so high if you might overstimulate. I had to cut my 50mg tablets in half.

    Sarey, I started this journey a year and a half ago and have had many issues from start until now. About a year ago I was on 50mg of Clomid and completely overstimulated. Your estradiol was supposed to be about 200-300 per egg and my estradiol was 2400. I was told that was crazy and they've never really seen anything like it. Needless to say, I had to sit that cycle out. But then due to the overstimulation I had some issues with cysts. I ended up having to wait 2 more months until those cysts were gone. I think that is pretty abnormal however you could overstimulate and have to take a month off. I hope that doesn't happen for you as I can't stand all the waiting. I ended up having to go to injections after that because they can control the dose much better than with Clomid and that has worked much better for me.

    Yes its my first IUI and on clomid. My doctor didn't say much about the dosage being high or seem concerned. Just seemed to be informative. But for some reason that seems to have stuck with me.

    I'm sorry to hear about your issues in this process. I havent had much of a wait yet since I started. My cycles have been completely on time and the timing of all my appointments have been lucky. I'm hoping this is just my nervousness getting the best of me right now. I'm sending lot of luck,wishes and baby dust your way that your time comes soon.

    To avoid overstimulation most docs start with 50mg of clomid (it ranges in 50, 100, 150, and 200mg doses) and then move up or down depending on how you react to it. I was told the 2 follicles that I had were actually cysts that's why they were so large. So we sat that cycle out and went to 25mg of clomid. I only got 1 follicle this time but that's all you need. I had one on each side but my left tube has been "removed" due to an ectopic pregnancy from 2002. So any time a get an avg size follicle we are going with it. hopefully this will be my month.

    Well we didn't go through with the IUI in July as planned, but we started again with the cycle on Nov. 1st. I was on clomid again 100mg CD3-7 and Menopur injection on day 9. Had my ultrasound today and had 2 mature follicles at about 20mm one on each side. I am triggering tonight at 8:30pm and go in Wednesday morning for my first IUI. The Dr did start me on estrogen suppositories because my lining was thin. so I have to do them 3 times today before my trigger and then hope it's good on wednesday morning.
