clomid and successful pregnancies?

Anyone take clomid and get pregnant the 1st iui? I have had 3 non medicated iui with no pregnancy.Any suggestions? Need advice? Side effects with clomid? I am 36 and feel my clock ticking. Kind of frustrated that nothing is working. I thought I would have gotten pregnant by now, but no such luck.

    I'm 34 and have done 8 non-medicated. Going to start clomid this month. I'm looking for any feedback, too!

    I've had 3 unsuccessful IUIs with Clomid. My Drs suggest I move on to injectables. I start them next week. I'm feeling very frustrated after seeing that the Duggars (reality tv family) are now expecting baby #20. I just want one. I've started acupuncture as well. My acupuncturist suggested I read the book Making Babies. I'm following many of the recommendations in that. So I'm really hopeful that between the acupuncture, the book, the injectables and a whole lot of prayers my turn has to be this month. Fingers crossed.

    Clomid side effects were bearable. They got lighter each month. A little dizziness, nauseous, headache and hot flashes. They weren't that bad. Hoping the injectables don't have more severe side effects.

    The injectables aren't covered by my insurance, and I heard a shot is about $900. The next steps after Clomid seem a bit cost-prohibitive. I'm not sure, but I think that I'll be getting a BPN, although I'm only on day 9 after my IUI. This is extra disappointing, because it felt like I was ovulating out of both sides. :(

    My insurance doesn't cover the injectables either. I'm sure if it was a male issue they'd cover them. But that's another issue all together. The injectables are pricey but they aren't $900 a shot. I had to mix Bravelle & Menopur. For a month of shots, which was about 7-8 days, the cost was about $2000. My Dr callled them in to a pharmacy that offered a discount - Village Pharmacy 877-334-1610. They also threw in a free trigger shot and don't charge shipping. It's still expensive but it helped. I've had 3 IUIs on Clomid and just had my 2nd with injectables the other day. Just waiting it out now. I only had one mature follicle each month on the Clomid. I've had two mature follicles with a 3rd very close behind them with the injectables.
