Clomid Changing Ovulation Day

Hi all, I was just curious because we are getting ready to use clomid for the first time.

Did taking the clomid affect your ovulation date?

If I usually ovulate on cd 18 will the clomid cause me to ovulate earlier?

    It did for me. I was a clockwork CD15 ovulator on Clomid, but unmedicated was somewhere between 18 and 23.

    I also got an extra 2 days of luteal phase (so 12 days instead of 10; "normal" is 14).

    Thanks for replying!! I just finished the last dose so I'm going to wait a few days and then start testing.

    Clomid did in fact change my ovulation day!!

    I usually ovulate around cd18 but this round of clomid, my first + Ovulation Test was on cd13 with IUI on cd14!! I read a lot of people's posts on other sites saying it postponed ovulation. Not for ME it didn't.

    I guess the lesson is if taking clomid be prepared for O to be early... or late. LOL

    I know. That's not very helpful advice lol.
