Hold out on hpt's??

Hey everyone! My partner and I are on our 3rd IUI w/donor 11988 and it's now day 5 of the 2ww. I swore to myself that this time I wouldn't go crazy taking hpt's until the blood test...has anyone held out?? I'm trying to be calm and positive, getting the negatives are such a downer (even when we know we're testing too early lol)

    Good Luck to you!!! We are 3dpiu on our 3rd IUI....I understand your pain :) We've done pretty well at holding out with the HPT...but, only because AF came right when we were getting ready to try :) Hoping 3rd times a charm for both of us!

    My wife and I had our first IUI done on the 23rd of August. We swore we would not test until two weeks after which was this past Monday. We lasted until day 10 of the 2ww and since then have taken a total of 9 hpt. BFN on all. Today will be the 3rd day of missed AF and not sure what to think. We decided not to take another test until Friday. The wait is AWFUL. Know exactly what your going through! Good luck to you all!

    I usually start to go crazy around day 10 too! On day 7 now. My partner is so calm about things though so that helps. Are you or your wife on progesterone? Those pills can delay AF. I was put on them last cycle and AF was 5 days late but was getting BFN on all tests. Of course they didn't tell me that was a side effect so I was going nuts lol Hopefully that's not the case with you and you get a BFP next time!! I've never done so much waiting in my life!     Hi JenR312. No she was not put on any drugs. Dr. said there was no need until after we have tried for 6 months. No luck on the first go round Today is day 11 of the dreaded 2ww (round 2) and we took an early hpt yesterday, BFN. =( Dr. said to take test on 3 days from now. Keeping our fingers crossed. Baby dust to all!!

    Hi aquino, I've been off the boards for a while...hope the last try was sucessful for you guys! My wife and I took a month off (to get married :)) and I just started first month w/shots...waiting for iui in about a week or so. This is a crazy process...trying to stay calm and positive...hope you are too!!
