  My partner is 37 never been pregnant, decent health our reproductive endochronologist told us to expect 5-7 tries on average for it to work. She got pregnant on the 2nd try and we have a healthy 3 month old baby boy.

  The success rate of IUI may be as high as 20% each cycle with 5-20% chance of pregnancy being the typical range. Although success rates are higher for other forms of fertility treatments such as IVF, artificial insemination is often a first choice for those who have exhausted natural means of conception. It is less invasive and less expensive than the more complex procedures. It is also a simpler procedure with few side effects. IUI success rates depend on the couples' age, egg quality, sperm quality, and other fertility issues such as endometriosis or damage to fallopian tubes.
  
  Couples will typically try IUI treatments for three to six cycles before either becoming pregnant or trying another type of procedure. Although IUI does not work for every couple, it is a fairly non-invasive procedure that gives many couples a chance at conception that they wouldn't otherwise have

  Hi Yamila, Well I would tell you your chances are really high considering your age.. have you had your blood work done yet? if all of your hormone levels are good and you have no blockages or endodemetriosis you should do well... It really is about finding a great doctor that doesnt treat you like a number but a human and pays attention to your cycle and to how your body reacts as far as ovulating you really have to be proactive dont just take the nurses or doctors word for it.. I am 36 and have been through 3 IUI's 1 non medicated then 2nd on 2.5 mgs of femera to create more folicules 3rd on 2.5 mgs of femera and an ovidrel trigger shot that makes you ovulate and none worked because my doctor let the nurses do all the work and they where not getting the timing right and where not paying attention to my cycle enough I trusted them and it got me no where(MY Blood work is all normal my husband has azzuspermia is what led us to use a donor) so I did more research on line started to go to a fertility accupuncturist and she recomended a new RE and I am on my forth IUI I did back 2 back IUI's used 50mg of clomid and the trigger shot and also my re was smart enough to give me estrogin patch to help my lining and used promentium ( progesterone) for the 2ww and I go for my blood work tommorrow so it is about the Re you pick and your age, the timing of the IUI and making sure you body has what it needs to sustain a pregnancy. I know this was very long winded but I would love to spare you the time and money and energy and emotions that everyone goes through on this journey!!! Go and interview a few RE's ask them who does the Sonograms, who does the IUI's is it the doctor himself or is it the nurses make them do the initial blood work to see you levels and have you had a dye test done to make sure your tubes are open all important questions that can save you about a years worth of time and alot of money on vials of donor sperm!
