Birth certificate question

I am at the halfway point in my pregnancy now, which means my husband and I are definitely getting ready to welcome these twins! My question is, when they are born, is it LEGAL and acceptable to still put my husband's name on their birth certificates as the father, even though we used a donor?

    Hi Om -

    It is perfectly legal and expected for your husband to be listed on your child's birth certificate. Your husband is just as much the child's legal parent as you are.

    I spoke to someone at the CA Cryobank today, asking them a similar question. The only difference is that I am not married with my boyfriend. The rep I spoke to told me she couldn't tell me if my bf could write his name on the birth certificate and that I had to contact legal help. I was confused and am a little concerned now. I don't want my bf to not have his name on there. Can anyone help me?
