  • Hello, all! I wanted to share the happy news that my beautiful twins, Lily & Miles, were born on Wednesday, December 15! I am so very, very blessed!!! I honestly couldn't be happier and feel more complete than I do now. They are absolutely perfect in every way...Lily looks like a miniature clone of ME!!! And I see a lot of my dad in Miles' features. My husband is thrilled to be a dad FINALLY!!! Words can't express how happy we are, and how much we thank you, CCB, and Donor #11116!!!

I went in to be induced late Tuesday night (10pm was my check-in but they didn't actually do anything to me until after midnight) because I was already 38 weeks and showing no signs of going into labor on my own (which is weird because my older daughter arrived at 37 weeks!), and my blood pressure was climbing. I had been on bed-rest that last week of my pregnancy because of it. They induced me with cytotec and pitocin (NASTY!!! That was NOT pleasant!). My labor started out slowly...it took me 11 hours to dilate to 4 cm...but then in the matter of one hour I went from 4cm to fully dilated and ready to go! I actually had to wait for the doctor to arrive because he wasn't even at the hospital yet...nobody expected me to move that quickly! Lily Rebecca was born at 12:22pm with an Apgar of 9, weighing 5.8 lbs and measuring 18.5 inches. Miles David followed her at 12:29pm with an Apgar of 9 as well, weighing 6 lbs. and measuring 18.7 inches. I was very happy to be able to have them naturally...I was afraid of needing a c-section because Miles was breech, but miracle of miracles...he turned vertex AT THE HOSPITAL! No joke...we actually saw it happen! :) What a good boy!

I'm going to try to post some pictures...hopefully it works! Let's see...

This is me with the babies, right after giving birth (I mean, like less than 10 minutes after Miles came out!)

Hope all is well with everyone! Good luck, baby dust, sticky dust, or good labor dust to everyone who needs it!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
  • OK...I THINK the pictures posted. Let me know if you can't see them and I will try to fix it. The formatting is messed up on my screen though and I don't know how to remedy that. The pictures are in the order in which I listed them on the side...you should be able to figure out which is which. :)
  • Mazal Tov!! Beautiful kids. Lots of joy and good health!!
