Our son was born in 2008 using this donor. Donor is now listed as "retired". Is this because of a problem with the sperm? Or too many children born already? Or another reason? Any chance this donor will have sperm available for siblings in the future? Thank you.

What a great way to open a posting. I'm very happy for your family. Please be sure to officially report the birth of your son to us if you haven't already.
You have nothing to worry about. Because of the time it takes to qualify a donor (6-12 months) and the mandatory six month quarantine period on all vials collected, donors are often retired very shortly after their first realease. Some are even retired from donating before a single vial is ever sold.
It is possible that 5734 still has vials in quarantine that will become available. The best thing to do is call Client Services at 866-927-9622 and ask about any scheduled releases.
Best wishes,
Scott

My 8 year old daughter would love to contact her donor siblings or know some more about them. We are listed in the sibling registry, please contact us.
