IUI timing- 1 v. 2 vials

Hi everyone- I have no had two unsuccesful IUI the last two months and am scheduled for my third (hopefully successful) IUI next week. I have a few questions regarding timing- I use the LH predictor kit and I test in the morning and afternoon and I am always negative in the morning and then positive in the afternoon around day 13-15. If I am positive around 2-3 PM is doing IUI the next day at 11:30 AM good timing? I thought we ovulate 24-36 hours after the peak of the surge- what if I am catching it on the rise and don't peak for 12 more hours?
Also if I decide to try two vials what is your opinion about when to do each vial. My doc says vial one is supposed to be the first day my LH is positive- so if that's at 3:00 PM I will do IUI at 4:00 PM and then the second vial the next day at 11:00 AM. Does that sound right to you?
Any suggestions or tips? Has anyone found more success with two vials? Also at what point do you try Clomid or injections? My doctor says as long as my LH kit turns positive she won't allow me to try Clomid... What is your experience with that?
Thanks from Cambridge, MA!
