Donor Eggs?

Hi Ladies. I wanted to reach out to get your thoughts on donor eggs? If you have decided to go that route, how'd you get there? (Got tough news yesterday and trying to weigh my options.) Thanks!

I did not use donor eggs and don't know much about the process. I just noticed you were not getting much of a response here, so I wanted to suggest going on facebook to a closed group CCB Friends. It's a bunch of families who have gotten pregnant through the bank or are trying to conceive. I know there are women on there who have used donor eggs.
To become a member, you have to friend Laura McLane and send her a message explaining where you are in the process. She will then invite you into the group. Because it's closed, no one can see anything you post so you can ask any questions. I have found it very helpful.

thanks Austingurl. I actually found another board that has an entire section dedicated to DE IVF. Plenty of success stories on there. Many on the first or second try after years of TTC. My RE said my chances (due to age of 43) of TTC using my OE was 5%. With DE it is 70-80%. At first I was like no way. Then after reading the stories on the other board, took me all of 8 hours to change my mind. Also, I'm fortunate to have excellent medical coverage, but only to a capped amount. I didn't want to waste my coverage on a treatment with low probability of success.
