My wife and I have been together 7 1/2 years and after we got married we always said that we wanted to have a baby. We have selected donor 12677 and I go for my progesterone test on July 22nd. The problem is I have read so much online about what to do and what not to do that I am completely confused. My doctor wants to inseminate on the 21st day of my cycle next month, but I have read that I should take daily ovulation tests and inseminate when my levels spike. What has worked for others out there? Has anyone had success with donor 12677? HELP!!! We have wanted to start our family for so long and I am nervous about making a mistake.

We are starting cycle 4 for IUI attempts. Cycle 1 was a success, but had a missed miscarriage that resulted in surgery. Found out my partner had a Uterin Septum that needed fixed while he was doing the D&C with Lapriscopy Surgery.
Attempt number 2 was a fail as well as 3. Both failed attempts were with left ovary. The positive that we got on the first, was with the right. Our RE says Righty might just be the winner and we just need to hold out.
You need to find somebody who will listen to you and what you need and how you are feeling. The whole office knows us both by first names and I get a hug every time I actually get to go with her. I am a teacher so it is harder for me to take off, but Dr. Walmer always lets me know he is glad I am there! Today we sat in his office after our base line ultrasound and watched youtube video's together of stuff that had NOTHING to do with getting prego! He is awesome!
I know it is frustrating! Hang tight. We have been taking Letrazol and am now increasing it to 7.5ml once a day on cycle days 3-12 and then we will do a trigger shot 40 hrs. before we go in for IUI which is always cycle day 14.
It all depends on your cycle and when you actually ovulate. Have you tracked it using and OPK? Just keep track of your Day 1 and then start testing around day 12-???( whenever you get your smiley). This will give you a better idea of WHEN you SHOULD be doing your IUI.
Baby Dust to you!
