Negative blood test but still no period

I was wondering if this has ever happened to someone.
I went in for my blood test (beta) yesterday at the doctor's and it came back negative.
However, I still have not gotten my period and I don't feel like I am going to.
I did have very minor light pink spotting on the toilet paper starting last Monday but it was literally once every other day and I never had to wear a tampon or a pad. That was just a week after the first insemination. And it has stopped for 2 days now.
I always get my period and it is usually very regular.
I am very confused. Has this ever happened to anyone?
I am going to call my doctor tomorrow to make an appointment (I can't start the Clomid again until I reach day 3 of my period but if I have no period, I'm not sure what to do).
If anyone has any insight before I call tomorrow, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks so much,
Kate

It is very difficult to get in touch with the doctor but I did talk to the nurse and she said that I just have to wait for my period.
I wasn't on that much medication (just Clomid 50 mg and an ovidrel shot the day before).
But I am going in tomorrow morning for another blood test and an ultrasound to see when (and if) my period is coming. It may be redundant but I need some peace of mind.
Thank you for responding . . . . if you speak to your friend let me know what she says.
