9th IUI

Well, I had my 9th IUI on 9/8. I had a trigger shot the day before that (9/7). Today is the first time I tested, since I was out of town and distracted. BFP!!!!
I called the doctor to make sure I waited long enough that the trigger is out of my system, and she said yes. Now I go tomorrow for blood work. I'm trying not to get too excited until after the blood work.
Wish me luck. I hope it sticks!

Again, congratulations!
Oh, and I think your title "9th IUI" needs more attention!!!! I would be shouting a BFP from the roof tops! Something like "9 freaking IUI's and finally a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!". : )
You have been on my mind so much lately!!! This is terrific news and I'm so happy for you. This give me inspiration to keep going. :)
PLEASE let us know when you get your blood results!!!
Again....YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!
Thanks for all of the kind thoughts! I finally feel like I can be a little excited, since it's not just a stick telling me BFP!
I had just finished telling myself that if this one didn't work, I was taking a month off before trying again, and possibly going to injections. I'm so glad I don't have to worry about that now.
mabberson - The trigger shot I used was Ovidrel. Not sure if there are others or not. Usually it is used as a trigger to start the ovulation process, then IUI is done about 36 hours after, from what I understand. The LH surge is the natural start of the ovulation process. I think the trigger shot is supposed to be used in place of testing for your LH surge. My office did it differently. I triggered after I had already started my natural LH surge.
How long after the Ovidrel did you do the IUI? It was the next day, but do you recall roughly how many hours?
Yay!!
There was a lot of confusion over my Ovidrel. First I was told that I would use it once I got my LH Surge, then I was told I don't need it since I had a natural surge, finally I was told it wouldn't hurt if I used it even though I surged on my own. I tested the morning of 9/7 and got a positive surge. By the time the doctor got back to me, I ended up doing the trigger around 4pm that same day. Then I had my IUI on 9/8 around 1pm. I'm not sure what did it this time! It was the first time using Ovidrel, but it was also the first time I waited until the afternoon to do the IUI. Maybe it was the combination!
My ultrasound is on Monday. I'm really nervous! It would be awesome if there are two in there, but after as long as it's taken, I'd be more than happy with one!
