How many tries did it take for you to get pregnant?

Hi,
I'm trying to be a single mom for the 1st time next month. I'm 39 yrs old and have never been diagnosed with fertility problems. I did have 3 surgeries in the past 4 yrs for uterine polyps which has made worried that motherhood can't happen. But my doctors assured me it can. Just wondering how many times it took for some of you to become pregnant. Looking for hope.
Tks,
Lori

I got pregnant after my 2nd IUI when I was 37. First time I followed my RE's suggestion with using ultrasounds to monitor ovulation and then a trigger shot (Ovidrel) but it just didn't feel right to me. So the second time around I took a few months off and started actively monitoring when I ovulated (which my RE never instructed me to do in the months I had seen her before) and found that her dates were WAY off. Second time I waited until the ovulation test was positive (a full 5 days later than the cycle day we tried the 1st time) and went in for the IUI the next day, and ding, ding, ding--BFP. I have also heard great things about acupuncture from the other SMC's I know and was going to give it a try if IUI #2 didn't work out. Wishing you the best of luck next month!
I am 38 and got a BFP on the 3rd unmediated IUI. I am almost 7 Wks. We used the same donor for the 2nd and 3rd try. I don't have any known fertility issues but went to an infertility clinic at a local hospital. They had me use Clearblue easy Ovulation Predictor kit. I started testing 10 days after first day of my period and when I got a peak smiley face, I went to the clinic the next day for IUI. The Dr said to ignore directions of the ovulation test and to test everyday around 5 PM. I am really glad I went through a infertility clinic for the process, they did a lot of bloodwork and testing that I don't know that I would have gotten. My progesterone level was low so I have been put on a supplement for the first 8 weeks. My Df said he would do 6 IUI's before going to medication. We are feeling very blessed and just taking it one day at a time.
I'm 37 and got bfp on first IUI with clomid 25mg and Ovidrel trigger. No known fertility issues. I do acupuncture 2x/month, exercise, healthy weight and gluten free/dairy free diet (for medical reasons, I have an autoimmune disorder)
