complexion description

Hello,

I noticed that next to the Complexion listed for each donor, there is a "?". Is there an explanation? Donor 13399 is listed as "Dark",but his celebrity look alikes are not dark and his baby pictures do not appear dark. Any assistance would be great.

Thanks.

  • Hi Gina -

If you hover over the question mark, you'll see the explanation that the donor's complexion is relative to his ancestry.

Donor 13399 is Polish and Puerto Rican and his complexion is considered "dark" relative to that ancestry. I compared his childhood photos to what he looks like now and his skin appears a few shades darker as an adult.

When you look at the celebrities in Google Images, you'll notice that in some photos the person's skin tone might look a little different which can be due to lighting and sun exposure. The donor appears to have the ability to tan and his skin tone is pretty close to Adam Rodriguez's skin tone.

Also, if you need assistance finding a donor that matches a loved one, we offer Donor Matching Consultations where you send us a photo and we'll help find a match for you.
