Is blood type a matter

I am A, so which type of blood that I only can choose? Which one is safer for the baby?

    Hi Mulan -

    The letter type does not matter. Only the Rh factor. If you are Rh negative and you choose a positive donor, there is a shot your OB will give you periodically throughout your pregnancy to make sure your body does not develope antibodies to the fetus. It is a very common procedure.
