40 and still hopeful, anyone else?

Hello everyone,

I am 40 years old and gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby boy last year. I have been trying unsuccessfully since July to have another child for my son to share his life. I was blessed and got pregnnat on 1st unmedicated IUI with my son. I have had 3 IUI's, 1 unmedicated and 2 with Ovidrel trigger shot. All my labs look great. I am very healty, 5'2" and 120 lbs with no medical issues. One of the RE's I met with was so so so negative about the possibility of me getting pregnant again without trying IVF (which I will do if it's my only option). However, I know so many women who are 40-42 and have had successful pregnancies.

Any experience or advice? I want to stay positive and be reassured somehow that it will happen, it might just take a few more tries.

So, would love to hear success stories of other 40 year olds......

Thank you for taking the time to read this and respond.

I'm am 41 and am trying for the 1st time ever. So hopefully there is hope for both of us. I would also like to hear from other 40-somethings who have been successful.
