Please help in timing natural IUI

I had my first all natural IUI last month and although the egg was big and values looked great we based IUI timing on my previous two cycles of 24 days, so we did it on the 12th day from my last period. But it wasn't succesful as I got my period 27 days after my last and not 24 days as we expected. My periods in the last 8 months have been very irregular in their cycles length while they were regular at 25-26days before, so it's difficult to pin point exactly when my next ovulation will occur especially with the very small window of only 6-12hours that I read here the frozen washed sperm donor really lasts for. For my next possible upcoming ovulation I only have a ultrasound scheduled on day 12 from last period and then we will decide when to do IUI with sperm donor (either APR 6 or 7 depending on ultrasound on APR 6). I have ovarian cysts and I never took any drugs so I prefer to do IUI all natural but I understand timing is crucial and i really do not know how to get the small window of timing right considering that it will be all natural again. Do you please have any suggestions on how to pin point with the most possible accuracy the time of when I should have IUI with IUI sperm donor performed in order to get successfully pregnant? Any suggestions will help! Many thanks!

  • Hi Love -

It's best to discuss this information with your physician or nurse since they are managing your care and would be able create the best insemination plan based on your personal situation.

    Best of luck,
