Hey there.. anyone plan on using Donor 13179? I just had my first IUI on 1/25, I am currently in my 2WW with this donor. Hoping for a BFP next friday. Anyone else in the same situation?

    hey we have him as our #1 choice at the time. i go for my HSG the end of this month and another test in April. hopefully we can complete iui in May. *fingers crossed* wishing you the best of luck and lots of baby dust!! pls keep me posted

    oh btw i forgot, if u dont mind me asking. how many vials did u purchase? or how many was used for the iui?

    Hey Shy - sorry for the delayed reply. I bought two vials of 13179 and tried twice. I just found out today after my 2WW that today was my second negative. The numbers from both my vials are 12.5 and 14.5 million with roughly 53% motility. Hope this info helps and best of luck to you.

    Being nervous is definitely okay. My wife and I were extremely nervous the first time and equally nervous the second time, the first week after the IUI isn't bad, it is day 8 that seems to get crazy. For me personally, my boobs swelled and I felt like I had symptoms but the meds should have been out of my system. I think it is a delayed reaction combined with pre-period symptoms. I did use meds, we used follistim and an ovidrel trigger shot. The meds aren't bad, I didn't bruise bad the first time, the second time I bruised more around the belly. -- Are you using meds? Good luck! We're not going to give up, just going to skip a cycle, and then jump back on the wagon. Hope you get lucky and get a big fat positive the first time around!

    hey elenipapa, Thanks for the feedback and encouragment. i plan to start in the summer. i have did my different test, HSG, etc. my doctor said i will more than likely start out using clomid. Have u heard anything about this med. if u dont mind me asking did u have any known fetility issues? does this donor vials have good numbers? oh btw what state are u in? hopefully if everythings goes well for us both we will have siblings? lol!     What state are you in? We are in Hawaii. -- I don't have any known fertility issues. Being in a same sex relationship (and always having been in one) I've never had the chance to test my fertility, I guess that is how you'd word it?? I went through the normal battery of tests, they even did the test where they put the fluid in the uterus to check for any issues, and everything seemed fine. I'm right on the cusp of turning 30, so I don't think age is a factor. We will try a few more times before we look into anything else. What about you? I hope things go great for us too!! Is this your first time trying?

    oh wow!! Hawaii, how pretty!. we are in bring Maryland lol! you and i are the same age, i have no know issues as well. all my test come back normal. im am really nervous about this donor now. why wont it work for you. it might not work for me as well. he was #1 pick out of a list of 15. i must say picking a donor is the hardest part so far, im sure the 2ww is harder. how many positives do he have. i want strong swimmers. i wish my iui could take on the first time but i doubt it. i guess im going to keep looking over my list of 15. it would be nice if some1 reports a positive in the next couple of months i might give him a try. what do you think i should do? try him or move on?

    Hello! My partner and I have had 13179 as our favorite for a while now...we went to place the order and thought maybe we should look one more time just to make sure...we changed our mind when we found someone that looked more like me. My partner is the one that will carry first as she is older and I have a few female probs to work out. Please keep us updated on your progress. 13179 will def be our back up if needed.     Hey Shy - sorry for dropping off the map for a few weeks. After the second negative we decided to skip a cycle and get back on track. We had a big vacation planned to visit family in California. We're back home now and anxiously waiting for my period to start so we can begin trying again. We decided to move on from 13179 after two failed attempts and bought two vials of 13041. I've read he has strong swimmers from several people. Two were pregnant on their first IUI attempt. I'm hoping for good luck with this donor!

    I did purchase the package where I got the baby pictures but I did not save them. I just viewed them online and read all the bios etc. Sorry, I would share if I would have saved them! I didn't want to jinx anything because it says if you order the vials and then become pregnant they send you a keepsake folder with the pictures.

    Have you started trying yet? Did you decide on what donor to go with? Best of luck!

    Ashlee - Congratulations! We have used 13179 and 13041. No BFP yet, moving on to IVF! Best of luck. We are not sure if we want to use 13179 or 13072.

    Do you know what you're having yet? Congrats!

    Hello;) We are happy to announce that we are 20 weeks along with donor 13179, and inseminated at home using two ICI vials. This was a first attempt for us and a little girl is on the way. Good luck to everyone!

    MariShu I know your last post was march of 2014 but I was curious if you wanted to connect with any other siblings from donor 13179? There are several and all of the families are awesome. I personally have three children from this donor, 1 girl and two boys. Hope to hear from you.
