donor pic for open donor

I'm just wondering why someone would be an open donor, but not offer a baby picture? I just kind of find that odd. We have an open donor, but he has no picture. (11255)

Hi Faith -

Good question.

There are a couple reasons. Usually, the issue is that a donor does not have easy access to photos because he family did not take them or he is away at college. Some donors are concerned with protecting their anonyity and the chances of being recognized.

Whatever the reason, it is understandable that being open to an initial anonymous contact in 18+ years and providing a photo for public display today are somewhat different.
