On 11th Try - Need Advice on Timing after positive LH surge

Hi..
Okay we've been at this over a year now.. going on 11th try this week. waiting for the LH Surge, questioning timing we've done in past.. do you do it right when you see it, 12 hours later, 24 ? we've tried it all.. what have you all done? We have done 7 in all ICIs at home and 3 w Fertility using clomid and trigger shot (2xs) w/ no success.. at home again waiting on when to go. Any advice is appreciated! We've done this before, at home ourselves w/ success using ICI but it only took 3 tries then! Our son is now 4.. this time seems to be a never ending roller coaster of hope and tries and draining our savings account. Baby dust, prayers , Advice welcome!!! TIA ! A

  • Tia,

The immediate answer to your question is 24-36 hours after surge. (Everyone has a different opinion about the timeframe and many are successful.) I think the real issue is accurately determining when the surge occurs. I'm not sure what prediction method you are using, but you might try having scans done at the dr. office. I realize that it would cost more money but it may increase your chance of success which will save money in the long run. That is actually the only part of my treatment that insurance paid for, so you may get lucky in that aspect also. Sending baby dust and prayers your way!!!
