First time- how many vials do we buy?

We're getting close to making a decision, just now looked on these boards and it seems like people buy numerous vials at a time. What's the recommended number for a first timer? I'm assuming the price on the profile is for one vial, correct? Is this something I should discuss with my doctor or is this more a personal/ financial decision?
Any advice greatly appreciated!

The first thing to consider is how important your first donor choice is to you. National averages are around four cycles per successful pregnancy, so if you don't purchase enough vials you risk your donor not being available for future cycles. If you are ok with changing donors down the line, you can be more flexible in your initial purchase.
More importantly, if you are even remotely considering having more than one child, you absolutely want to be sure to plan ahead. Two years from now when you are ready to try for #2, chances are your donor will be sold out. We have a lot of clients anxiously looking for sibling vials because their donor is sold out.
You can always sell back any vials you don't use; and as Jala pointed out, we will store them for you for free. Check out Family Today and Family Tomorrow here on the website for more details.
Good luck,

Just checking, but are you recommending buying at least 8 vials (minimum), if I want two children from the same donor?
Thanks!
Sorry to take so long getting back to you. Your post slipped past me and got burried.
If you are plannng on having two children, I highly recommend our Family Today program which provides 3 years of free storage with the purchase of 10 vials.
Remember, by the time you are ready for number 2, odds are your donor will be sold old. If you purchase the 10 and don't need them all, you can always sell back any vials that have not left our facility.
Good luck!
