I'm pretty young (18), but I've always wanted a child and right now I just don't really feel like being legally attached to a man, I would actually much rather do it all on my own. I have a good paying job and have worked out a whole savings plan and timeline, which shows how bad I want this. Should I go for it or wait? Will doctors be able to turn me away because of my age?

I don't believe anyone would be able to turn you away because of your age. I applaud you for knowing what you want at such a young age. On the other hand, if I was your best friend I would tell you that you have a lot of time to have a child. Take some time to get situated in a career (if you haven't done so already), travel, and enjoy your late teens/early 20s. That's something you'll never regret! If after a few years of enjoying life that yearning for a child is just as strong as ever...go for it!! It's your life...live it doing what you enjoy..and if that includes a baby, go for it!
