Iui vs ici vials

Hello. Our RE has a lab and prefers we only order ici vials, but the donor we like the most only has iui vials. I understand they feel they can better filter out the dead, weak, or mutated sperm. Do you have any information I can share with her about why it is fine to get vials you washed instead?

I've been asked before if we use a "simple" wash or a "premium" wash.
Here's an explanation from one of our lab directors:
We use a density gradient wash, followed by a re-suspension of the pellet and another wash to process our IUI samples. This is considered a "premium" wash as it involves a density gradient medium. The advantage of a "premium" wash is that it typically results in a "cleaner" sample, that is, one with a high motility.
Hope this info helps!
