question about waiting list

Hi, If a donor has a long waiting list, is it first come first served when the vials become available? If i am number 21 on the list, does that mean everyone before me will get a chance to buy before it's my turn, or do you sell the vials to who ever that calls in first?

  • Hi Quynh-

If you are on the notification list, you will receive an email before the donor's next vial release with the time to call to place an order. The vials are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Occasionally, if there is a very limited quantity of vials that become available, clients may be contacted individually.

Since additional vials are not guaranteed, it is always a good idea to select a second donor as a back up, just in case.

  • I'm confused. I called almost DAILY to purchase my donor when he was unavailable. I asked about a waiting list and was told there wasn't one. How come customer service never told me about a notification list? It would've saved me all those times I had to wait on hold for 15 or 20 minutes to talk to someone.
  • Hi NY-

I'm sorry for the confusion. If a donor is sold out of vials, it's not possible to pre-purchase vials because additional vials are not guaranteed. But as long as the donor is not restricted, you can request to be put on his notification list so that you receive an email before his next vial release or if/when buy back vials become available.

I'm also sorry to hear about the time that you spent on hold. Our average wait time is less than 1 minute, but sometimes mornings can be busy when we open.

    Regards,
