Look-a-likes determination

How are donor look-a-likes determined? Do the donor simply tell who others say they resemble? If so, do the staff check into this information by googling that person for verification? Do the staff determines who the donor resemble?

We have a staff of employees who compare photos of the donors to the celebrities. We look at specific features (eyes, nose, jaw line, coloring, etc.), general type (athlete, musician, boy-next-door, etc.), and overall look (hair, build, style) to reach our decisions. It is an in-depth process that can take 30-60 minutes per donor.
The reason we offer 2-4 different look-a-likes per donor is to try and paint a more complete picture of the donor.
If you are interested in specifics on the donor vs. look-a-like, you can always call our Client Services Department for help at 866-927-9622.
