How many vials per insemination

Very new to this process. Do you use one vial per insemination or are more required?

    My doctor recommended I order 3, just so I have backups if the IUI didn't work right away (which it didn't).
    My doctor uses 1 vial per IUI, but I have read on here that other women will use 1 vial and go back the next day and have another IUI with a 2nd vial. Not sure if they are requesting that or the doctor is recommending it.
    Welcome to the process, I am fairly new and only on my 2nd IUI, but you learn quickly!! And this board is soooo helpful with information, mental and emotional support!

    I'm a repeat - DS from donor 11182 in Sept 2008. TTC #2 and in the TTW as of 1.22.2012. My RE does 1 vial per IUI 36 hours after I use my trigger shot. I was on a nightly dose of Follistem (150mg injection) starting on day 2 of my cycle. I got a BFP with my son on 6 of 7 (1st try using donor 11182 and medication).
