any hope for a BFP after minimal rise in BBT?

Hi all,

I am 4dp IUI and I have had bloating and breast tenderness the past couple of days, and some brown discharge. All the signs lined up pre-IUI, positive OPK, fertile mucus, open cervix -- so I went in for the IUI on CD13. But now my BBT has not risen much since then and I am worried that maybe I jumped the gun and inseminated too early.

Has anyone else had this experience? Is there any chance I could still be pregnant?

Thanks for your input. The TWW is gonna kill me!

    Did you ever see a rise? What about a drop? When?

    No, its only been 4 days since the IUI, and each day I have only gotten about a .2 degree rise. Very minimal. No drop.

    The drop is what you don't want! You're still okay. Hang in there.

    Whew! Okay, I won't give up hope yet then.

    My breasts are definitely sore, which is odd, but I don't want to read to much into it and then be disappointed. I know its easy to imagine symptoms, but I do feel different!

    My breasts were sore too...that was one of my very first symptoms...I also had period like cramping, was hungry (eating in the middle of the night) and I had very weird/crazy dreams. Everyones symptoms are different, but those were a few of mine.

    I totally understand about not wanting to read to much into your symptoms...I felt the same way, but I also knew my body well enough to notice the changes. I told my partner that I was pregnant starting about CD9...she thought I was crazy. :) We now have a 5 1/2 month old, beautiful little girl.

    Wow, I've been eating a lot and having vivid dreams too. I thought maybe the eating part was just nervousness :) This is very reassuring, thanks!

    Don't give up! You seem to have all the signs of being fertile with the cervical mucus, open cervix and pos OPK. Usually temp rises right after ovulation...are you checking prior to getting out of bed??

    Good luck! I just completed 2nd IUI no meds today...I'm using my
    GYN, no specialists, the first round was not successful, my LH surge was during a holiday and specimen did not arrive in time so I'm hoping that this time is a success! I've been monitoring my BBT and using OPK/mucus. Today was my first LH surge with a temp dip, I will have a 2nd IUI tomorrow as well. My pattern indicates my temp should spike on Fri-Sat, we'll see!     Good luck, ohbaby!! I am looking forward to hearing how it goes for you. I will keep my fingers crossed!

    I have been taking my BBT prior to getting out of bed, and so far it seems to be hovering slightly higher than it was prior to ovulation -- about 97.6, which seems low to me. Prior to ovluation it was around 97.2. However, my breasts are incredibly sore, which I am hoping is a good sign, despite how uncomfortable it is. I have also been eating like crazy and having a lot of dreams. Trying not to get my hopes up too high, but feeling optimistic. Tomorrow is only 7 days since the IUI, so I still have quite a wait!

    I will definitely keep you posted and please do the same!

    Okay, finished 2nd IUI yesterday-did two, one on Th and the 2nd of Fri. Took temp this AM and saw a spike. pre ovulation temp 96.9 and today it was 97.9. I hate the wait to do HPT! I'll keep u posted.

    I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully this will be the month to celebrate for both of us. My TWW ends on Friday and I am so nervous! I have been having a few symptoms (hungry, tired, sore boobs) and my partner keeps asking me if its all in my head. But if it's all in my head, how would I know, right? All I know is that my boobs hurt like mad and I can only hope it's because I'm preggers!!

    desandjae - our TWW ends friday too! Praying we both get BFP's! I've had about the same symptoms as you...

    TWW?? two week wait? not sure, but mine is up next week. I hate waiting!

    sadly we got a BFN on Saturday and then AF promptly arrived that afternoon. :(
    we will try again this month!
